Defiance dropped the log of wood she was holding but she held on to the knife and took a step closer to Jeremy.

"You talk to Conrad?" She asked him and waited for his answer.

"Yeah. He means well…I think" Jeremy was referring to the part where Conrad warned him that Defiance might not know what making out was.

He was beginning to realize that she was clueless about a lot of things and someone like her can't survive in this real world here.

He watched her closely.

"I don't know. He is kind of confusing. And if he is saying anything bad about me, you are better off turning a deaf ear to it, Jeremy. Conrad doesn't know me that well"

Jeremy stared at her for a few seconds. He had two options, one he could turn them around and get her back to the packhouse or they could enjoy a nice picnic courtesy of his idiot friend with nothing…not even a kiss for his trouble.
