The Shared Destiny, the Shared Soul

The speaker paused for some while as if remembering the past of him and his wife before continuing.

"Though she died, it was peaceful. And so, I was also satisfied with the end as she didn't have to suffer any longer… Just sad about losing her again so soon after I had just reunited with her.

But something strange happened.

Just as my wife took her last breath, a few strands of illusory wisps emerged out of her body and started floating away.

It was unnatural, but within those wisps, I could somehow make out the features of my wife, who was waving goodbye at me as she left me. I didn't know how, but I immediately understood that it was her soul that was going for a reincarnation in another life.

I never had any prior knowledge of souls… at least not extensive enough to understand this phenomenon. But at that moment, everything clicked, and a certain method flashed through my mind.
