The next morning, I woke up early, the anticipation for training driving me out of bed. The first rays of sunlight streamed through my window, casting a warm glow across my room. I quickly dressed and headed downstairs, feeling a sense of purpose.

As I descended the stairs, I could hear the familiar sounds of my parents starting their day. In the kitchen, my mom was bustling around, preparing breakfast.

The aroma of freshly baked bread and brewing coffee filled the air. My dad was assisting her, setting the table and occasionally sneaking a taste of the food, which earned him a playful swat from my mom.

"Good morning, Aric," my mom greeted me with a smile as I entered the kitchen.

"Good morning," I replied, smiling back. "You're up early today," she remarked.

"Yeah, I'm excited to get to the Duke's mansion early," I said, my excitement evident in my voice.

"Well, have a good day of training," my dad said, ruffling my hair. "Make sure to eat something before you go."

After a quick breakfast, I left the house and made my way to Clara's. Her house, a charming cottage with ivy climbing up the walls, was just a few blocks away. Clara was already outside, her eyes bright with excitement, waiting for me.

"Morning, Clara," I greeted her.

"Morning, Aric. Ready for another day of training?" she asked, her enthusiasm matching mine.

"Absolutely," I replied.

As we walked towards the Duke's mansion, we chatted animatedly about our training and our dreams of becoming stronger. The streets were just starting to come to life, with shopkeepers opening their stores . The city was waking up, and so were we, filled with the energy of a new day.

When we reached the imposing gates of the Duke's mansion, the guard recognized us from the previous days and nodded us through without a word.

The mansion grounds were beautifully maintained, with manicured gardens and towering trees providing a serene backdrop for our training.

Inside, we spotted Sara and Asher near a marble fountain. Asher was talking animatedly while Sara sat on a nearby bench in a meditative posture, her eyes closed and her breathing steady.

Asher noticed us first. "Hello, Aric and Clara. Good morning!" he called out, waving.

"Good morning, young master," Clara responded formally, acknowledging their high status.

Asher waved off her formality. "Oh, there's no need to be formal with us. We're going to be buddies now, so you should talk to us like friends. Just call me Asher, right, Sara?"

Sara opened one eye slightly, then closed it again, nodding in agreement. "Hmm," she muttered, her tone indicating her assent.

"Aric, you're the first person to give my sister a tough sword fight," Asher said with admiration in his voice. "Usually, she dominates anyone who duels with her."

I felt a surge of pride at his words. "Oh, my father taught me about sword fighting," I explained. "That's the reason."

"Then your father must be a skilled swordsman," Asher remarked thoughtfully.

Before we could continue, Sara stood up from the bench and addressed us. "Alright, everyone, Mentor Shane is probably waiting for us. Let's go," she said, her voice carrying a tone of authority.

We all agreed and followed her into the grand hall where our daily training took place. The hall was vast, with high ceilings and large windows that let in streams of natural light. The walls were adorned with various weapons and training equipment, and the floor was covered with thick mats designed to absorb impact.

As we entered, we saw Mentor Shane already waiting for us. His imposing figure and calm demeanor commanded respect. He greeted us with a nod.

"Oh, so you all came on time," Mentor Shane said, his eyes sweeping over us. "And I see you're bonding well. That's good. Good bonding is crucial for our training."

He clapped his hands, signaling the start of our session. "Let's not waste any more time and begin our training," he said.

"Yesterday, we practiced with swords," Mentor Shane began, addressing the group. "But today, we will be using your core elements in combat."

Hearing this, everyone got excited. The prospect of channeling our elemental powers into our fighting techniques was thrilling.

"First, let me explain how you can use your elemental power and infuse it into your sword. Aric, your powers are lightning and arcane, correct? You can infuse both into your sword to enhance your strikes.

Try infusing your lightning power into your sword first. Sara, you should try infusing your ice element into your sword as well."

As instructed by Mentor Shane, we began focusing on infusing our powers into our swords. For me, it wasn't too difficult, thanks to the training I had done with Shadow the previous night. Concentrating, I felt the familiar surge of energy within me.

My sword started to glow with crackling blue lightning, shimmering with electric intensity.

I glanced at my sword, imagining the possibilities of combining Shadow's abilities with my lightning and arcane powers.

The thought of creating a shadow-infused lightning strike filled me with excitement.

Meanwhile, Sara was having difficulties. Her brow furrowed in concentration, but the ice element resisted her attempts to merge it with her sword.

"Good, Aric. You adapt very quickly," Mentor Shane said, nodding approvingly.

Encouraged by his words, I watched Sara with renewed interest. She saw my success and seemed to be spurred on by a competitive spirit. Focusing harder, she finally succeeded. Her sword glowed with a frosty blue hue, ice crystals forming along the blade.

"Very good, Sara. You learn quickly as well," Mentor Shane praised her.

Sara glanced at me, her eyes shining with determination. Out of nowhere, she pointed her sword at me. "Aric, let's spar," she challenged, a confident smile on her face.

I returned her smile, ready for the challenge. "Let's do it," I said, raising my sword.

Mentor Shane observed us with a smile, then turned his attention to Asher and Clara. "Now, both of you should also focus on infusing your powers into your swords."

Following his instructions, Asher and Clara concentrated on their respective elements. Asher's greatsword began to glow with a fiery aura, while Clara's sword shimmered with a soft dark blue light, indicating her arcane element.

It took them a bit longer, but eventually, they succeeded. They weren't as fast as Sara and me, but their determination was evident, and their progress was promising.

"Well done, all of you," Mentor Shane said, his tone encouraging. "Remember, mastering these techniques takes time and practice. Now, Aric and Sara, you may begin your sparring match. Asher and Clara, keep practicing your elemental infusions."

Sara and I faced each other, our swords at the ready. The air was charged with anticipation. With a nod from Mentor Shane, we began our duel.

Sara attacked first, her sword emitting a cold, icy aura. I parried her strike, feeling the chill of her power even through my blade. Countering with a lightning-infused strike, I aimed to test the limits of her ice defense.

The clash of our elemental powers was exhilarating. Sparks flew as lightning met ice, creating a spectacle of light and energy. We exchanged blows, each trying to outmaneuver the other. The training from both my father and Shadow served me well, allowing me to keep up with Sara's relentless attacks.

"Excellent, both of you," Mentor Shane called out. "Keep pushing your limits."

Our duel continued, each strike more intense than the last. We were both driven by the desire to improve and to master our powers. The hall echoed with the sound of our clashing swords, and the air was thick with the energy of our elemental abilities.

Finally, after a particularly fierce exchange, we both stepped back, breathing heavily but grinning. It was clear that our skills had grown, and we were well on our way to mastering our elements.

"Great job, Aric and Sara," Mentor Shane said, his voice filled with pride. "You both have shown exceptional progress today."

Even though I didn't use my whole skill still catching my breath from the sparring session with Sara. Just had a normal spar, but it was fun. It's good to have a sparring partner.

Asher and Clara, who had been watching while continuing their practice, also seemed inspired by our duel. Their determination was palpable, and I knew that together, we would all become formidable warriors.

With the day's training drawing to a close, I felt a deep sense of accomplishment. The journey ahead was long, but with each passing day, we were growing stronger, both individually and as a team.
