Chapter 41: Eerie Resemblance

The gods worked to rebuild the protective barrier around the domain, and my mind was still troubled by the fate of the minor gods, who had been attacked by shadows. I couldn't shake off the guilt and responsibility that weighed heavily on my shoulders.

"What about the minor gods?" I asked Aran, suddenly remembering our interrupted task. "We can't just leave them to suffer."

Aran's expression turned serious as he replied, more as a statement than a question: "We have a responsibility to follow through with this, don't we?"

I nodded in agreement, determined to not let my own fears and doubts get in the way of doing what was right. Together, we gathered a group of powerful gods and set out to find and rescue the minor gods who had fallen victim to Zathena's shadows.
