Chapter 37: Silence Speaks Louder Than Words

The silence in the room was deafening, as if it had turned into a void that seemed to be swallowing all the sounds around me. I stood there frozen, my heart pounding in my chest and my breath coming in short, sharp gasps. My eyes were wide with shock, as if lightning had struck me.

As I tried to process what had just happened, I could hear a faint whisper in the air. It was a sound that seemed to have come from nowhere and everywhere all at once. It was the voice of the wind whispering secrets in my ear, urging me to listen to it. I closed my eyes and listened, trying to understand what it was saying.

"Kyla," the wind whispered, "I am your friend in the storm. Together, we can weather any tempest."

I opened my eyes and looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. It was difficult to tell where it came from, as it seemed to be everywhere and nowhere all at once. I closed my eyes again, focusing on the voice in my mind.
