Kyla is a young woman with hidden abilities. When her village is attacked by shadows and she is captured, a light comes to her aid, urging her to venture into the mysterious forest. In the forest she meets attractive deities who divulge that she is the first human in a long time to threaten the balance of powers and she is the sole individual able to save both the mortal and immaterial worlds, as long as she can master her powers and keep her feelings under control. Living with the Four elemental gods seems like an easy task, but it brings its share of...trouble?
In the silence of my room, Niam, Zane, and Brod exchanged nervous glances, their faces clouded with worry. The king of gods' words had hit a nerve, and the tension in the air was palpable. As the weakest link on their team, I felt a sudden surge of insecurity. What if my lack of mastery over the water element proved to be their undoing?
I sat on my bed, watching the water deity pace back and forth, searching for a way to speed up my learning of one of the most unpredictable elements.
Brod sighed. "We've barely finished teaching Kyla the third element that the almighty one is sending us to war."
"This isn't war; it is merely an annoying trick of the darkness to tip the balance of things. He isn't ready for war yet. The darkness wants her powers." Niam reminded Brod.
"The king is going to have our heads when he learns that Kyla is the one sought by darkness." Zane added.
"We've got to thank Aran for misinforming the king." Niam said.
