Betrayal and revelation

Back at the precinct, Detective Alex Rivera and Detective Sarah Martinez interrogated the man from the nightclub, whose name turned out to be Marcus. Despite his initial denial, Marcus eventually broke down and confessed to his tumultuous relationship with Isabella.

"She was like a whirlwind, sweeping me off my feet," Marcus admitted, his voice tinged with regret. "But she had secrets, Alex. Dark secrets that I couldn't begin to understand."

Among them stood Victoria, Isabella's estranged sister, her face twisted in anger and grief. "You have to find out who did this to her!" she cried, her voice echoing through the crowded hallway.

Alex approached her, his expression sympathetic. "We're doing everything we can, Victoria," he said, his voice calm but firm. "But we need your help. Isabella had secrets, and we need to uncover them if we're going to find out who killed her."

Victoria's eyes widened in shock at the mention of Isabella's secrets, but before she could respond, a new voice interrupted their conversation.

"I think I can help with that."

Turning around, Alex and Sarah were met with the sight of a woman standing in the doorway, her presence commanding attention. It was Isabella's lawyer, Vanessa, a woman with her own secrets to hide.

As Vanessa stepped forward, her eyes locked with Alex's, and he knew that they were about to uncover a truth far more sinister than he could have ever imagined.
