The eastern sector of the Free World was in chaos. Flames roared through the narrow streets, and rubble from crumbling buildings filled the air with choking dust. Civilians fled in every direction, their cries echoing as they sought safety. Amidst the destruction, Renik and Saria, two vanguard operatives, strode purposefully toward their target: the Sentinel outpost stationed at the heart of the sector.
Renik sighed, his chains dragging behind him with a faint clink. "This is such a chore," he muttered. "Why does Vorthax insist we play these games? Just give me the signal to wipe this place out."
Saria, walking beside him, shot him a sharp glare. Her flowing cloak fluttered as she raised a hand, silencing him. "We follow the mission. The destruction comes later, but not yet."
As they moved through the debris-strewn streets, the sharp sound of boots landing echoed above them. Renik and Saria both froze, their eyes snapping toward the source. Two figures stood atop a nearby rooftop, silhouetted against the fiery sky. The light of the flames glinted off their armor, one gold and the other silver.
The Gold and Silver Brothers had arrived.
In perfect synchronization, the brothers leapt from the rooftop, landing with a thunderous impact that cracked the ground beneath them. The air around them felt charged, as if their mere presence carried a weight that pressed against everything in the vicinity.
Renik smirked, his chains rattling with anticipation. "Well, well. Look who decided to show up."
The Gold Brother spoke first, his voice calm but resolute. "By order of the Sentinels, your rampage ends here."
The Silver Brother added, his tone colder and more menacing. "We've dealt with your kind before. You'll find this fight won't go the way you think."
Renik cracked his knuckles, his grin widening. "Finally, something interesting."
The tension in the eastern part of the Free World city was thick, the air charged with the weight of impending battle. Renik and Saria stood opposite the Gold and Silver Brothers, their eyes locked in a standoff. The brothers moved in eerie unison, their presence radiating strength, their expressions void of emotion.
Renik broke the silence with a smirk, his voice cutting through the stillness. "You know, your secret isn't much of a secret anymore. As long as you're together, your powers are formidable. But divide you? You're nothing." His tone was confident, taunting.
Saria nodded beside him, her eyes never leaving the brothers. "Good thing we're good at breaking bonds, isn't it?" she said with a sly smile, her chains already starting to writhe around her like living serpents.
The Gold Brother tilted his head slightly, his voice calm but menacing. "Then let's see if your knowledge can save you."
In an instant, the brothers moved as one, their hands slamming into the ground. Chains erupted from beneath the earth, massive and glowing with raw energy, snaking toward Renik and Saria with terrifying speed. The chains moved like a storm, each one aiming to ensnare and crush its target.
Saria's grin widened as the chains closed in. "Perfect," she said softly, her tone brimming with confidence. With a swift motion, chains burst forth from her own body, dark and ethereal, clashing with those of the brothers. The collision was deafening, the sheer force scattering debris and creating a whirlwind of chaos. Sparks flew as the chains tangled and snapped, each side vying for dominance.
Renik stepped back slightly, observing the clash. "Saria," he said, his voice low, "is it time?"
She glanced at him, her grin fading into a determined smirk. "It's time. Let's show them what happens when you underestimate us." With that, she unleashed her ultimate technique: Eclipse Veil.
The battlefield plunged into utter darkness, a void so complete it seemed to consume all light and sound. The Gold and Silver Brothers hesitated, their connection strained by the sudden loss of vision. Saria, however, thrived in the darkness. Tendrils of her chains wrapped around Renik, silently guiding him through the void.
Renik, who had fought alongside Saria for years, moved with precision. He understood her ability well, knowing exactly how to exploit the confusion it created. As the Silver Brother stumbled, trying to reorient himself, Renik's chain-guided path brought him face-to-face with his target.
Saria's voice echoed through the darkness, cold and calculated. "You'll never see it coming."
Without warning, Renik placed his hand firmly on the Silver Brother's head. A low hum grew into a deafening roar as his energy surged. Boom! A thunderous explosion erupted, obliterating the Silver Brother's head in an instant. The force of the blast lit up the darkness momentarily, revealing the sheer destruction wrought by Renik's strike.
As the darkness from Eclipse Veil lingered, the battlefield fell silent for a moment. Renik stood tall amidst the shadows, his gaze sharp and unyielding. Saria, still shrouded in her veil, prepared to finish the job.
The Gold Brother, sensing the loss of his counterpart, roared in anger. His remaining chains flailed wildly, but his strength had visibly diminished. Alone, his power was a shadow of what it had been.
