As the sun begins its descent over the abandoned construction site, as twilight descends, the colors deepen, painting the sky with shades of indigo and violet. The construction site takes on an otherworldly aura as magic runes glow on the crumbling brick walls, the air crackling with energy. Deep within the shadows of the site, a dark figure manifests, the crimson of his eyes gleaming in the dusk. "Draven, you bad dog, what about your family?" The shadow of a man's voice booms through the walls. "Shut up!" Draven growled, his eyes narrowing at the shadowy figure. "Give me the boy," Zarek demanded. "And I will forget about this betrayal," he adds. "Never! I will never give you Rowan." Selena's voice rang out through the dark warehouse. "Ahh, if it isn't the little pussycat coming to hunt your prey?" he mocked her as the shadow began to shape and transform into the form of a man with long, dark hair that reached his shoulders and blood-red eyes. "Do you really think a barrier made by a random witch would be strong enough to stop me?" he asks Selena, his voice laced with venom. "No, It just has to hold you for a second," she replied. "Such confidence in yourself," he scoffed, shaking his head at her naivety.
"Enough talking! This ends now," Draven roared as he lunged towards Zarek. His claws, slashing through the air with deadly precision, aimed right at Zarek's neck. With a flick of his wrist, Zarek easily dodges the blow, a wicked grin spreading across his face. His cane is slamming into the ground as a black portal swirls to life in front of him. "Did you really think I would be prepared?" he teases as two female werewolves come out on unsteady feet with sliver muzels on their faces, chains digging into their backs as black mists pour into their faces from the muzzles. "Zarek! You dare!" Draven growled in anger as he tried to charge the dark warlock, seeing his beloved wife and daughter chained like wild beasts.
"Draven, Stop!" Selena yelled out as the two chained werewolves launched themselves at the raging alpha, their movements erratic and wild as they swung their claws at him. "What is wrong with you?" he yells at his wife and daughter, dodging their clumsy swipes, a pained expression on his face as he tries to avoid hurting them. Selena leapt into action, her panther form surging forward and striking at Zarek with her claws. "Such a fierce little kitten," he mocked her, his eyes filled with amusement as her claws slashed at him, his form a blur as he dodged her strikes. With a wave of his hand, a dark bolt of magic slammed into Selena's chest, knocking the air out of her lungs and sending her flying back into a pile of rubble.
"Where is the backup?" Draven roars, trying his best to hold down the two crazed werewolves without harming them. "If you're talking about your friends outside, well, they might be a bit busy," Zarek says with a smirk. With a growl, Selena shook off the rubble, her eyes narrowing at the warlock as she prowled around him, looking for a weak poi
nt to strike at. A foul smell overruns the site as Selena's nostrils flare from the stench of dark magic permeating the area. 'Ghouls' she thinks to herself as her eyes scan the site, looking for the source of the smell.
Rowan's eyes widened as he saw the zombies that littered the yard of the site, their rotten flesh and milky white eyes filling his vision. "Everyone, take care of the ghouls; wooden bees protect the human," a random hunter yells, pulling out a silver sword, his fangs flashing as he smiles at Rowan. "Don't worry, we got your back," he adds as he leaps at the closest undead, slicing the ghouls head clean off with a single swing of his blade. The scene plays out like a macabre ballet as the hunters dance around the undead, their blades glistening in the moonlight as they cut down their foes. "Come here," Daphne said, grabbing Rowan and hauling him backwards as Owen cut a ghoul in half, the zombie falling to the ground in a pool of greenish-black blood that started melting the concrete below.

Selena's ears perked as she heard the faint sound of a battalion raging outside, holding back her reinforcements. Her eyes flashed as she lunged at Zarek, her teeth snapping at him as she raked her claws across his stomach, a black mist protecting him from being disemboweled by her razor-sharp claws. "My my," Zarek laughs, his cane swinging up to hit Selena as she bounds back to dodge the black staff. Selena's eyes flash over to Draven, seeing him have pinned his wife and daughter to the ground with his hands clasped around their throats. "What did you do to them?" he yells at the dark warlock, his eyes burning with a ferocious rage.
With a simple glance, Zarek ignores the massive alpha pinning his wife and daughter and focuses on Selena instead, who took this moment of absent mindlessness from the warlock to pounce towards his back, her gaping maw open, aiming for his neck as she knew she wouldn't be able to land any significant blows with her claws thanks to the shadows that are protecting him. His eyes snapped back at the last second as his cane appeared in front of him, deflecting her pouncing form, her jaws closing on his cane and shattering it like glass, the remains leaking black gashes of He jerked the upper half of his cane at Selena's neck and caused it to extend out of proportion and wrap around her throat, choking her as her claws lash out, clinging to the shadowy warlock's backs as their faces ended up mere inches apart as she hung from his back, choking against the shadows that choked her throat. Draven looks at Selena, concern etched on his face as his eyes lock on the girl. He was helpless to do anything, having to hold down his mindless family.
