MC won't interact with Sunny and others early at least few dozen chapters before that, I'm going To flush out his character way before that, since the novel is starting 1 year+ before Sunny's nightmare call. He is going to the forgotten shore some time before Sunny arrives.

The Meeting 3

While their captain was reading small letters while others in the hut moved on to their own stuff, getting the final timing of the move some people let their armor vanish into the thin air preparing for the inevitable battle after all they were on the most important mission of their life.

Finishing her little reading time Gemma took a deep breath ending with a deep sigh, contents of the letter were what she expected but it was still grim.

They were on a mission, or some would say a mission of their lifetime, so no mistakes were allowed.

Instead of putting down the letter on the table she lifted it in the air and soon the letter caught fire and burned away.

If she had a smoke, she would have smoked it under the pressure but that was a useless thought and she shook that thought away, getting up from the memory chair the chair and the table disappeared.

She could have just read the letter while standing up but creating a table and a chair to sit on had become a habit and it wasn't easy to get rid of.

As she got up the others in the hut looked at her, some looked in anticipation while other looked in wariness thinking something must have happened because of the letter arriving in their camouflaged location.

High up here only some know of their mission and even less knew where to send the letter.

"Ahem." attracting their attention even when their attention was already on her Captain Gemma began to speak.

"Contents of the mission remain the same, only the difficulty somewhat increases. Our location is safe and secure thanks to the archbishop taking the front in yesterday's engagement. While what happened in that engagement is unclear because I wasn't told of it, our objective remains the same.

Moving forward into the center of the hut near the fire. "Albeit there are differences that cannot be ignored, instead of a single saint guarding the devil we have to face Dual Saints." she said while smiling.

Warriors did not know how to process that information, while they had confidence in killing a single saint by utilizing what they had and sacrificing to fill in the rest they weren't sure of their chances in beating 2 saints.

Letting the thoughts grow and anxiety spread Gemma looked at her squad. After all, it was a reasonable reaction from them to be this afraid and anxious. Facing a transcended was not easy, oftentimes Awakened or even Ascended could be squashed in a single move. Even if the saint took you seriously and transformed the odds would be even worse.

After letting the anxiety spread for a little bit longer Gemma decided to stomp it. "But it works out not worse for us, the saints guarding the devil are as I said Dual saints, Sir Black and Sir White are guarding the devil with additional squads."

Calling them Sir might sounds heretical to people but in this world even if many followed and respected the rules, strength was the final determining factor in most cases. All the transcended deserved some respect for their strength for making it thought all the horrors that plagued their world.

Hearing the Black and White demons some warriors looked at their captain is disbelief. Two of the demons of color were one of the strongest saints serving under the Legion. Under the Bastardly Legion 12 demon of color existed but 4 of them were especially famous, Sir White and Sir Black were famous because they were Dual Transcended, upon the gathered information while They both possess mighty powers eclipsing most saints, they shared a life but that was just a rumor. So if you ever saw Sir White or Sir Black there was 100% chance that they were together.

"I understand your concern but do not fear I have a plan, or I should say they have a plan."

Standing in the center Gemma drew a memory. It looked like an old sword in its sheath.

But the moment the sword glistened in their presence, every warrior in the hut instantly grabbed their weapon or started summoning them. Even the exhausted Emera almost woke up with scrunched brows.

Continuing her explanation "This is the sword that was given to me by one of the bishops, the higher ups were worried about the success of our mission so they gave me one of the blessed weapons, they couldn't give me something out of the armory because they thought a spy was in the armory and didn't want to alert them."

The mention of a blessed weapon calmed the warriors. Blessed weapons were not normal by any means they were weapons often used by the best paladins in the church.

Seeing the hope return to the warriors Gemma was happy but not satisfied. She needed to increase their morale even higher. Gripping the sword by its handle Gemma made the sword's aura disappear in an instant. While the warriors were quite shocked by the sudden disappearance of the aura, she further explained the plan.

"I can't say what the sword exactly does but I can tell you guys some of the main enchantments, this sword absorbs soul essence and contains them while purifying it." Ignoring some expressions of shock on their faces Gemma continued. "The sword has been absorbing soul essence from Deacons and priests for decades. A single strike from it could kill a saint in an instant but the memory will be destroyed after the initial strike so don't think about giving me all the responsibility, your role in this fight will be as big as mine."

Unsummoning the sword, she raised her hand and a book appeared in her hand, containing many pages it represented the amount of knowledge in the book, showing signs of aging and its thick worn leather cover the book was clearly ancient. Grabbing the book with one arm Gemma wiggled it in front of their warriors.

" and think about what you learned from the encyclopedia of demons we got from the church, While Dual Saints are stronger than most saints it only holds up when they are together if we manage to kill either Sir White or Sir Black their combat effectiveness will fall below most saints so the only change in plan is the engagement, I need you guys to distract one of them while me Geralt and Luciel will quickly handle the other, crippling their threat and when we do that the rest will follow our initial plan. DID I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" asked Gemma.

"YES CAPTAIN!!!" answering back the warriors all saluted to their captain even the sleeping Emera was awoken by the shout instantly following the other and saluting to their captain.

Seeing the increase in morale Gemma smiled again and glanced at Luciel giving her head a small shake letting her hair flutter a little.

Receiving the signal Luciel knew what to do, one of them had to open their hidden stash and it was his turn.

Sighing he summoned a near looking small chest that could fit inside his palm, shaking it a little the chest started growing in size from being small enough to be grabbed inside the palm the chest grew half his size in height and much more sideways. Opening the chest glasses of high-quality booze and other kinds of treats appeared inside it.

The warriors one by one glanced at the chest but none of them moved hesitating.

Seeing their hesitation Luciel smiled at them his handsome face was gentle and full of care. "Go on take them, we might not survive the battle so before i die in the battle we should at least enjoy this, us warriors at least deserve this." grimacing inside.

Again, one by one the warriors took things from the chest in an orderly fashion, each summoning their own chest and pulling out food, they were responsible, so they knew not to overdrink these and drag down the mission, but they were happy with the sudden arrival or alcohol and treats.

MC is gonna wake up next chapter i wont drag this out more than it needs to, i dont wanna get involved with the lore just yet, all the stuff happening here wont be mentioned again only leaving impressions on Raian
