(ch43) a bit of a future spoiler

Angry shouts echoed through the air, mingling with the pungent scent of gunpowder and the unmistakable tang of blood. Bullet holes marred the walls adorned with exquisite dragon and koi fish wallpaper, telling a tale of chaos in a room that blended Japanese aesthetics with violence. Lifeless bodies of well-dressed individuals lay strewn across the floor, each one armed with a diverse array of weapons, ranging from guns to swords.

In the midst of the turmoil, the door to the Japanese-themed room faced a relentless assault, as if the intruders were determined to breach its defenses. Suddenly, a swift figure emerged, executing a powerful jump kick that propelled a suited man through floor to ceiling window.

Glass shattered, and the unfortunate individual was sent hurtling down the face of the skyscraper, adding another layer of intensity to the unfolding scene.

The person lightly touched their neck, triggering their communication device with a gentle tap.

A voice resonated from the figure, revealing the wisdom and maturity of a seasoned woman.

"Jamie, where is she?"

A crackling in the coms sounded before a voice spoke

"The idiots are talking about motorbikes…cars…um. Hold on…. something about a convoy leaving the building right now"

The woman gazed through the shattered window of the room, feeling a rush of vertigo as she peered down at the vast expanse between her and the bustling motorway below. Her eyes caught sight of a convoy of sleek black cars and motorbikes, slowly emerging from the towering skyscraper she was nestled within, and seamlessly merging onto the busy road below. It was as if the scene unfolding before her was destined to align perfectly with her point of interest

She spoke into the coms again

"Oh i have a dumb idea wanna bet I'll survive"

"Are you... Oh, please don't. If I make a bet with you about this, you'll only want to do it more. And if I tell you not to, you'll just ignore me and do it anyway."

"You know me so well jamie, there's only one over person that know me that well"

"Yeah yeah i know that shadow weirdo"

A soft chuckle escaped her lips, but it abruptly ceased as the ominous creaking of the door hinted at its imminent collapse. Her gaze dropped to the floor, startled by the sensation beneath her foot of a bit of rubble.

A rock

Grinning, she lifted the rock, channelling her essence as a peculiar symbol materialized on its surface. Glancing around, she strolled leisurely, unfazed by the precarious door. Her finger gracefully traced patterns on the walls, imprinting the same symbols she had conjured on the rock.

The door, once sturdy, now teetered on the brink of collapse, its wood splintered and pocked with bullet holes. On the other side, the occupants exerted themselves with newfound determination, pouring all their strength into breaching the barrier.

As she let go of the rock, she carefully slid it under the shoe, positioning herself just a few steps away from the shattered window. The line of cars drew nearer, aligning perfectly with her vantage point above them. With a swift motion, she kicked the stone out through the broken window as the door gave way.

A group of sharply dressed men, armed to the teeth, advanced into the room with their guns and weapons at the ready. They positioned themselves in a half-circle around the perimeter, their gaze fixated on the masked woman standing just inches away from the window.

Glancing over her shoulder, she watched as the stone plummeted, narrowly missing the first car of the convoy speeding beneath it. Suddenly, there was a blinding flash followed by a deafening explosion, hurling the vehicle skyward in a fiery ball.

Turning her attention back ahead, she saw the armed men closing in on her position.

"Gentlemen I'll see you in hell"

With a quick nod of acknowledgment, she saluted and leaned back, allowing herself to fall through the shattered window, yielding to the pull of gravity.

As she fell, her gaze fixed on the men now peering through the shattered window.

Shaking her head, she grappled with a mental tether, manipulating the symbols within the room. In an instant, they ignited in a vibrant red glow, erupting milliseconds later into a fiery explosion that surged through the fractured window.

While plummeting, she deftly repositioned herself to squarely face the convoy. In her hand, a petite knife materialised, adorned with different enigmatic symbol on it. With a fluid motion, she hurled it through the air, successfully piercing the sunroof of the second vehicle leading the convoy.

The guards Panicked as they saw the head car in the convoy explode they saw the car themselves being sent into the air, they were right behind it

The guards were thrown into a frenzy when they witnessed the lead car in the convoy erupt in a fiery explosion, launching it skyward. They were mere moments behind, witnessing the chaotic scene unfold right before their eyes.

As they veered to avoid the oncoming car, their hearts pounded in their chests. Suddenly, a deafening explosion echoed through the air, causing the car to tremble beneath them.

Looking up, they witnessed flames erupting from a room in the towering skyscraper ahead. Their breath caught in their throats as they noticed two alarming sights: first, an object hurtling through the air, piercing the sunroof with shards of broken glass raining down around it, and second, a mysterious figure wearing a fox mask descending toward them in slow motion. Panic surged through their veins as they braced for the impending danger.

However, to everyone's surprise, there was nothing. The woman seemed to vanish into thin air... well, not exactly disappear, but she suddenly appeared between the backseat passengers, clutching a knife in her hand.

As she teleported into the car, she had just a split second before they regained their senses.

Reacting swiftly, she instinctively elbowed the passenger on the right square in the face. With a fluid motion, she then seized the passenger on the left and forcefully pushed his face into the seat in front of him.

The person sitting in the front passenger seat attempted to brandish a firearm, but she swiftly reacted. Utilizing the leverage from the left passenger seat, she propelled herself upwards and delivered a powerful kick to the assailant's face.

The person sitting in the front passenger seat attempted to brandish a long barreled firearm, but she swiftly reacted. Utilising the leverage from the left passenger seat, she propelled herself upwards and delivered a powerful kick to the assailant's face.

The driver, amidst the chaos of the fighting, made a conscious effort to ease off the gas, hoping that fellow convoy members could assist. Meanwhile, the two passengers flanking her emitted pained groans, prompting her to lean forward between the driver and the front passenger seats to assess their condition.

"Sorry mister driver but can you keep speeding up?"

As she grappled with the person in the front seat, a sharp blade materialised in her hand. With a swift motion, she hurled it towards the driver, piercing his foot and causing him to slam down on the gas pedal, propelling the car forward at an alarming speed.

The passenger in the front seat swiftly grabbed his pistol from its holster, realising his long gun was impractical at such a short distance. However, before he could take aim, the woman in-between them reacted instinctively, reaching for the gun as well.

In a tense struggle, she managed to redirect the barrel behind her, and with a deafening shot, the bullet found its mark in the head of the backseat passenger on the right. The force of the recoil caused the pistol to jerk out of the guys hand, and in a split second, he was struck across the face with the same weapon.

Rin's gaze shifted from the man nursing his bloody nose to the motorcycle cruising alongside them.

The menacing gun in the rider's hand was raised, and with a swift motion, it unleashed a hail of bullets into the car, claiming the lives of the occupants in both the back and front seat, missing the driver. In a desperate move, Rin instinctively shielded herself behind the lifeless body of the front passenger, using it as a makeshift barrier against the deadly onslaught.

She slid into the front seat, snatching the long-barreled weapon from the lifeless figure beside her. With a quick motion, she propelled the body out of the car, along with the door, sending it crashing into the motorcycle riding alongside them.

She let out a sigh, her hand gently brushing against her neck where the communication button was located.

"Jamie, what car is the girl in?"

The reply came soon and it was lound

"You should have thought of that....BEFORE YOU STARTED BLOWING SH*T UP"

"Right but there is no way they would put her in the front two"

There was a sigh of defeat heard before the voice spoke again

"The fourth car from the front"

"So i got two more car to kill everyone in"

"Have fun"

"Oh i will"

She cut the comms pointed the gun at the driver and spoke

"Keep it steady or i kill you"

He nodded, a mix of fear and pain etched across his face. She sensed his distress as she emerged from the car, the door absent. With a deep breath, she surveyed her next move. Climbing onto the roof, she spotted her target ahead and leaped across the gap between speeding cars with astonishing speed. The momentum aided her as she crashed through the front window, feet first, surprising the four occupants inside. Before they could react, her gun flashes four times, swiftly dealing with each person. Now alone in the car, she felt it begin to veer erratically, but she used this to her advantage.

As she cautiously made her way out through the side window, she paused, sensing the car's gradual tilt, anticipating the impending flip. Harnessing that momentum, she skillfully propelled herself onto the roof of her intended vehicle.

Rin tapped into her sensory abilities, tuning into the energy around her. As she focused, she could sense the girl's presence with heightened clarity. The rapid beat of the girl's pulse reverberated through her senses as she glanced up at the car's ceiling, a subtle acknowledgment of someone's presence nearby dawning on her.

'yep you heard me, it's saving time'

She pressed a button on her wrist and the word that came up were:

"Automatic motorbike incoming"

She felt the presence of the enemy lurking within the confines of the car. Without hesitation, she climbed onto the roof of the vehicle and took aim with her gun. With each shot, the bullets tore through the metal roof, swiftly neutralizing the threat posed by the occupants within. When the barrage ceased, only the driver remained as the sole adversary left standing.

The only one remaining was the girl, and as she glanced towards the passenger seat, she noticed that the door had been forcefully torn open. A fox mask, positioned upside down, peered in at her from the car's roof, its gaze fixated on her.

"You should probably get on the bike"

Suddenly, a riderless bike glided up beside the car, and a mysterious woman wearing a fox mask leaped onto it. Extending her hand towards the girl, she hesitated for a moment before grabbing onto the woman's arm and being whisked onto the back of the bike. As they sped away, a bullet narrowly missed them, prompting the fox lady to swiftly dispatch the other biker with a knife to the head. The dead biker and bike careened into the line of cars trailing behind them, causing a chaotic pile up

As only one car managed to escape, it quickly accelerated, joining the motorbikes. The Fox lady revved her engine, matching the bikes' speed, and then, with a burst of acceleration, she propelled her bike forward at blistering speed. Activating auto-driving mode, she leaped onto her bike's seat, effortlessly maintaining her balance she aimed her rifle and pulled the charging handle, switched to full auto and started firing precise, thunderous shots at the car trailing them. Her marksmanship was impeccable, resembling that of a seasoned mercenary. As both vehicles began to drift around a slight turn in the road, Rin spoke up before leaping to the next car.

"Hold on to the handlebar please"

I'm really sick, and even writing or standing up is a bit challenging for me. I've been stuck in bed, so I appreciate your understanding for any delays.
