First Kill & New Companion

'Crap!'

Isaac was currently fighting a Carapace Scavenger.

Isaac landed on his back, narrowly avoiding the unexpected strike.

Isaac had long since realized how much power the chain lords flaw gave him.

His strength had been applied to around a Dormant Demon.

Though it was not a lot it was enough.

The good thing was that he managed to avoid being injured or even killed.

The bad thing was that he was sprawled on the ground like a bitch.

A massive pincer was still hovering above.

Isaac desperately rolled to the side.

Pincer lunged down, sending small tremors through the mud.

He was just beginning to stand up when the pincer swiped sideways.

Luckily Isaac was ready.

instead of trying to dodge or block the attack.

He went with it.

Letting the pincer collide with his outstretched hands and cushioning the blow.

Using his strength he gripped the pincer tightly.

He then pulled his arm back is one swifter motion.

Flexing all his muscles he let out a devastating punch on the Awakened Beast.

The Carapace Scavenger was sent skidding back.

Isaac did not give it a chance to get back as he lunged at it.

He fist was aimed at one of its eyes.

The Carapace Scavenger had no time to react.

Isaac's hand plunged into its socket tearing into the brain.

The beast then went limp as he once again heard the whisper of the spell.

Isaac was on a killing spree.

For the past two weeks, he has been continuously killing Carapace Scavengers.

At night he would climb back to the large hill.

This kept going for the last two weeks.

By then, he had gotten three memories.

None of them were that memorable ironically.

The armor enhanced his already-enhanced body.

And the sword just had an unusual sharpness.

The final one was a metal shield.

All and all he had at least some semi-good loot.

Isaac was currently hunting.

He was gazing down to see if he could spot any more carapace scavengers.

After looking for a while, he spotted a group of them huddling around what looked like a bonfire.

"What the hell".

Isaac couldn't help but feel curious as to why nightmare creatures were huddled up around a bonfire.

It didn't take him more than at least 10 minutes, or whatever time the forgotten shore went by before he reached the carapace scavengers.

He looks deeply at the scarlet flame before realizing something.

"That flame looks weirdly humanoid".

Isaac initially thought it could've been Nephis.

But the assumption was quickly thrown out as Nephis flames were pristine white.

"Could it be another person with a fire-related aspect".

Isaacs's curiosity was peaked.

But now there is only one issue.

"How the hell do I get past those scavengers".

Isaac quickly hatched a plan.

Summoning his metal shield memory he threw it in a certain direction.

He made sure it was not too far so that it was audible.

To his surprise and dismay three out of the four scavengers left.

"Guess killing one should not be too hard".

Isaac immediately shot forward.

Summoning his sword memory he swung.

The blade cut the scavenger's side.

Isaac had to quickly sidestep as a pincer was swiped at him.

Twisting his body Isaac aimed for the eyes of the abomination.

His blade pierced through ripping into the brain.

[You have slain an awakened beast, Carapace Scavenger.]

With the notification, he turned to the humanoid fire.

"I don't know if you're a sleeper or not but follow me if you can".

The humanoid flame looked at him.

Then it nodded before beginning to follow him up the hill.

He didn't even have time to take the soul shards from the scavenger's body.

However, it took them a few minutes as she didn't seem to be physically strong.

They still made it up to the top of the hill before the sun could fall completely.

Gazing upon the black ocean, Isaac turned to the burning, humanoid figure and spoke.

"Soooo what's your name".

silence hung in the air.

The blazing figure was silent.
