The conversation centered around Hex's family background and other mind puzzling stuff.

After a long conversation Hex had explained about his friends being cursed slayers.

Yeah that was how this meeting got arranged.

He was on his way to meeting the Cursed Slayers brought to the safe zone within the last five days or so.

This way he could identify if any of his friends were among them.
