It had been a while since they continued moving, Hex and the team had already ripped the cores from the monsters they killed and were on their way back.
Sky was already fully healed by Mizumi and walking again.
'I wished those injuries kept him down!'
Hex ranted in his mind now in lead of this group. They were still quite dumbfounded of his ability.
Why wouldn't they be, when they were merely....
'Average fries.'
Hex could read their entire thought from the expression they portrayed on their faces.
They were thinking of the validity of him being a Magus.
This alerted Hex, if they were this anxious there was a huge chance they would blurt everything the saw out to any who would like to hear.
And that wouldn't be all too well for his family and wellbeing.
Considering he and his family would get the full attention of the cursed Slayers and other people that would mean bad news.
In his previous life he had learned about all of this from a colleague who unlocked something he should have never. He was never seen again.....
'Probably got dissected, poor Timmy....'
At least he made an example for all to learn.
Hex began to have second thoughts.....
'Should I just kill them and lie they were killed by orcs.'
Just as the thought came across his mind a greater suggestion queried it.
How would a mere guy like him claim to be an only survival. With those guys around, They would believe Hex died only rather than the other way around.
So now killing was out of the option.
'Well it doesn't matter who they tell, last I checked I have a PhD in falsehood.'
To believe he was twice as better in lying than his previous timeline. Another gift if his reincarnation.
Since that was covered-ish. All that remained was to kill more orcs, level up, split the looth and getting payed.....
The 'splitting the looth' idea made Hex rethink murdering them all.
First of all....
'Phantom, are you still alive'
{Phantom functions not available now}
{Phantom evolution 43/100}
{Other features locked}
{User has escaped death}
{Only attributes are available}
'What sort of trashy bastard is that Phantom! It makes me question all the times it ever said I will make your life easier... Bastard went for a break...!'
Did he finally quit the job for another much qualified? Hex began to ask himself dumb questions that could he found conveniently as the answer.
'Display my attributes whatev-'
"Hey Magus boy!"
Hex heard Sky call from behind. His voice was distorted as though he forced himself to do this.
'Man I hate pestering guys! I should have let an Orc stab his throat.....!'
Hex shifted his look to Sky forming a less concerned expression.
"I want to thank you....."
"Good for you, stop bugging me!" Hex spouted gnashing his teeth and continuing quickly foward.
This made Sky's face redden. He felt like the inferior here, being told off like that.
'I will make sure to get strong Magus and surpass you.'
Hex grumbled childishly for a while before getting back to business.
'That bastard was trying to go all honourable shit on me.....'
Another line of thought crossed Hex's mind.
'Shit I should have asked him to give me money as compensation....! Damn why am I so stupid?'
Name: Hex Minant Sung
Title: Dragon hunter
Level: 62
Exp: 73/100
{Stats}
Strength: 321
Agility: 182
Senses: 71
Stamina: 125
Intelligence: 46/200
Fatigue: 23
Cursed Mana: 1380
Hex studied all his gains carefully. To believe he barely touched his Mana to finish off the Orcs.
Everything but Intelligence went up. Why would it?
Phantom had explained intelligence as how much he understood his current ability.
To Hex, blast and block! That was how much he understood it.
If only he was the one investing his stats. He would have became a powerful Slayer but instead Phantom was in charge of it.
It wasn't really Phantom's doing assuming he only absorbed all he could get from the slayed Cursed ones.
Come to think of it, ever since entering the red gap, Hex had noticed Phantom's withdrawal.
'Naturally he criticizes all my memes and insults! Now that feature is gone..... This system always has a way of taking away the good stuff....'
Hex blew a raspberry, sending away the holographic notifications.
He shifted his gaze to the others.....
All eyes was on him, casing every part of his being like a scanner, this made him uncomfortable.
'Perverts! This guy's are feigned! Do I look like a naked chicken or something?'
Hex respectfully disregarded the thought, not wanting to disrupt their uncomfortable situation.
'Man, this guys ended up being a total load of garbage.'
Mizumi was the first of the group to make a move, charging foward and wrapping her hands around Hex's own, this time she was gentle.
Hex scowled down at this connection.
'What the heck is this hot bitch holding my hand for?'
Mizumi only giggled streching out a hand to reveal the upper part of a blue luminous pill.
'Oh yes, blue pill, classic poison trick....'
"It's an enhancement pill I developed to help you regain your lost Mana." Mizumi spoke lowly as if begging Hex to take it.
'Not poison but to enchant me to fall in love with her, she's more desperate than I thought.'
If only she possessed some kind of insight of how much Mana he possessed.
'She would be gulping hundreds of those pills a day to catch up.'
That would probably corrupt her core and lead to Mana degeneration....
Hex pondered it for a second. If he were to refuse this kind but useless reward, suspicion about his secret may arouse.
'Can't risk anyone knowing my secret, at least, till I get strong enough to protect Elsa.'
Forcefully Hex managed to pick the pill from her palm tossing it into his mouth hole before swallowing.
'Vanilla?'
"I add flavours to my pills to make them more acceptable, What do you think?" She was optimistic for an answer.
"I think you're sick!"
Hex's reply knocked the redness from her cheek.
If not for his good looks and appealing image she would have slapped him.
Rather this was the only person that could protect them all in this hazardous tunnel. So just until then.....
'Let me be a little nicer to him....'
Uhm?
"What the heck is that?" Sky was the first to speak walking past Hex and towards the huge arched doors in front of them.
"I think it's a door?" Hannah spoke next holding a mesmerized look to capture her emotions.
Sky walked up to the doors placing his hands on it. Afterwards he examined it's texture.
"Looks like it's locked." That was the verdict he came up with.
"Oh cool they're not home." Hex matched foward to the door giving it what he believed to be a little shove.
Fraaacck! Fwooom!
The two arched doors were sent flying off their hinges and crashing to the floor.
There was an inner compartment. So much hotter than the passageways that immediately they stepped foot in it they were instantly drenched with sweat.
"It's so hot," Mizumi was the first to state the obvious.
'Then let me go bitch!'
Hex ranted within gritting his teeth. The heat was digging into his skin and worse of all his arm was between hell, a woman's breast side and arm...
"Hannah can you, blow us with your wind?" Hex asked Hannah, shocking her out of the trance she was in all this while.
She grew an angry look before snorting her face away. "Do I look like a fan to you idiot?"
Hex nodded getting the point, "whoever owned this room has seriously been dealt by poverty, can't simply buy one Air conditioner."
"Guys!!!" Sky's voice broke through their conversation taking their attention.
Across the well crafted compartment, up to the far end, a humongous throne, in it a large creature in sit glaring at them.
The creature had red armour like skin, it's mouth opened to reveal large black fangs with drool pouring out, no eyes, human like image. Wearing a torn caveman like undergarment that covered down to it's lap, and an ominous presence that shook every one of them.
"We t-t-o-o-o-k-k t-h...." Before Mizumi could complete she instinctively buried her head into Hex's hand and let out a loud scream.
"It's a Titan!" Hannah's lips began to tremble as she gauged her level of magic with such a being. She would merely be serving as air conditioning unit.
"Shit, without Havery...." Sky's grip on his weapon almost slipped as he loosened a little bit from the pressure he felt.
"So that's the poverty stricken bastard."
Hex smiled inwardly, this was bad luck for them. However, now he would be going up against a medium gap Master.
'Time to level up.'
