THE BLOODSHED

A very cursed day it was. The sun was getting brighter,

we were able to hear painful screams from around the

Kingdom. Everyone in the coliseum were running for their

lives. Screaming, shouting, crying and wheeping.

Where ever

we turned, we saw the Barbarians sliding down the mountains

with deleterious weapons in their hands. They were laughing,

a very evil laugh it was.

Soon they entered in the Kingdom splashing blood everywhere, I heard the sounds of their Axe,

Machetes, swords and hammers crushing and slaughtering

our people in front of their beloved ones.

King Edric was already in an unhealthy condition,

commander Jayce was striving to defeat the Barbarians, our

soldiers were trying their best to stand against the enemies

but the Barbarians were unstoppable, Even our best

swordsmen were losing in front of them. They were large in

number and their force was expanding with the flow of time.

King Edric stood behind the pillars, preparing a strategy to

control this bloodshed, instantaneously an Arrow came

with the speed of light and Passed away thrusting the King's chest, I saw

the King struggling for his life.

Immediately I informed this to

my brother Aaron, and we both rushed towards King Edric, he

was in great pain, the flow of blood was unstoppable and the

arrow caused him an immeasurable harm, the Barbarian who

had shot this arrow was cackling, as if he had done a

praiseworthy work..

The King was breathing heavily...Aaron

and me, we both sat down on our knees, King Edric moved

his hand slowly and painfully towards ours...we both looked at

each other and held the King's hand tightly in our

hands.

Aaron's eyes were filled with tears. he looked at The King and said in Grief..

"I am sorry Father, I...I was unaware"

"It's not your fault my son..None of us were aware"

The king

replied with pain and sadness.

"Aaron my son, Now...the destiny of

this Kingdom is in your hands...promise me..that....that you'll recapture our Mother Kingdom" he added.

Aaron nodded his head,

King Edric Looked at me and said "Matthew, whatever decision I had taken, was for the sake of

our Kingdom..and..and I never hated you as my son..your name

means... The Gift from God " I smiled at him and said..

"I love you...Father...I always did "...

The King suddenly coughed and took his

last deep breath...The pain of that Arrow and the burden of

responsibilities impelled him to quit the journey of his life.

Indeed he was a great King and my only regret was not

calling him my father..

Aaron's eyes turned red..his grief was now evolving in Anger

I never saw him like this before, he was heavily breathing, he

looked at me and said..

"Take Diana to a safe place, right now ! "

"But where are you going ?" I asked

"Olivia" he replied

The Enemies were here for the Kingdom and not for the

horses, so I took Diana to a stable which was the only safe

place I knew and Informed Aaron about it.

Aaron pulled out the sword from his father's jacket and walked

out like a fearless lion, he fought everyone in his way like a warrior and

controlled his army like a king, Aaron was not equipped with Armours and Weapons but still he was fighting like a knight,

he waved his sword slashing down heads, he stabbed his

sword in the chest of many Barbarians.

My brother turned

into a ruthless warrior, The fire in his eyes, The power in his

hands and the sharpness in his blade inspired me to do the

same. So I picked up the dagger and walked outside the

stable to destroy the enemies.

I walked slowly like a Tiger

with a flameful eyes full of anger, but as I raised my head and

looked into the eyes of my wild enemy...My flameful eyes

turned into a smoky Ash, my heart started banging inside my

chest and my knees started getting weaker and shaky.

As a

result of fear..I guess..

And as the Barbarian turned towards

me, I fired up my legs and ran faster than the fastest creature

on the land, back to the stable where I had kept princess

Diana..

Once a wise man told me that ...

'one wrong decision could

change your life ' and look that's what happened...as I turned

my head and looked behind, The Beast Barbarian was on the

way to our stable, where I was hiding with the princess.

I realized that it was the stupidest decision I have ever

made...

we were in the stable along with some horses..I rushed

towards the door and closed it, saying Diana that Everything

was fine and under control but suddenly we heard the sound

of hammer and within a blink, the door was broken.

The

Barbarian was standing in front of us with a strong hammer in

his hands, but before he could do anything, a sharp and quick

sword came out of his chest. slicing down the ribs and

organs.

As the Barbarian fell down, we saw Olivia standing

behind with a sword in her hand covered with thick blood.

she entered in and said...

"Are you fine ? " we both nodded our heads, giving the sign

of satisfaction.

"The whole kingdom has been destroyed,the

rivers have turned red and our most soldiers are dead, now it's time to leave " she said and slashed the roops from

which the horses were tied..

"select your horses and let's go..The Kingdom is no more

safe for us" She said.

We tacked up the horses and climbed

on them, I asked Olivia "where is Aaron ?"

"waiting outside, clearing the way for us " Olivia replied with

a very proud smile on her face.

As we came out of the stable, I saw Aaron slashing down the

Barbarians with the help of commander Jayce.

Aaron turned

around and said "let's go...we don't have much time"

Now the journey started to escape the Kingdom.

"stop centering and start Galloping your horses, the faster we

go..the safer we will"

Now our horses were running (Galloping),faster than ever..

"Hey horse, please be gentle and slowdown yourself"

requested princess Diana to the Horse !

"You are riding the horse and not the horse is riding you,

right ?" asked Aaron playing with his eyebrows.

Olivia stood on her riding horse and jumped on Diana's one,

to control it...the view was like an assassin performing

stunts.

Commander Jayce was guarding us...

Soon we crossed the heaven high gates of our Kingdom but commander

Jayce stopped and dismounted from the horse...

"Now what ?..what happened ?..why you stopped ?? we don't

have much time Jayce...common, climb on your horse..now !"

said Aaron with a breathing voice..

"No my boy..You are running out of time..I am not. You have

to go..The Barbarians are chasing you, you have to leave this place now !..someone have to stay here, I will

stop'em...believe me.."

Commander's eyes were forming

tears but he controlled them from falling on the ground...

"No..I can't...I can't leave you Jayce, you know that I have

already lost my father...please...please don't do this"

Aaron

cried... requesting Jayce with Crystal drops of tear in his eyes.

Everyone saw the Barbarians coming towards them with

sharp and damaging weapons in their hands...

"Aaron you have to leave...please leave, leave for the sake of

our kingdom, leave for the sake of your father,...leave for the

sake of your commander Jayce...please leave...Don't waste

my efforts, let me do my work..and for heaven's sake don't

ask me anything now, just leave..and remember that I always

loved you...now leave ! "

he said raising his trembling voice..

Aaron nodded his head, but with a broken heart and a

very broken soul. Then we left from there...I turned my head and

saw commander Jayce pulling down the lever and closing

the doors, then slashing down the Barbarians...firmly standing

against them,..Like a Lion....The Lion of our Kingdom.

We were on the way to Alexa's village which was safe from

the Enemies...Yes, Alexa..The one whom I loved.

Aaron was weeping continuously...remembering all the

sacrifices he saw...

The Fall of our Kingdom and the beginning of a new

Journey....
