Chapter 2

Me and Liliana met many times as she always go to the same supermarket to buy her necessities. Also, I noticed that she was wearing the necklace that her mother gave her in all those times.

She was also working in a good company like me and was also living with her father and sister.

Through all of our meetings, I enjoyed my time with her. The way her lips were moving while talking captivated me, the lipstick on them was light and had a gentle touch making me mesmerized.

Her smile was so beautiful, her gestures were so cute. Everything about her made my heart beat even more and hooked even more.

Eventually we decided to date and I must say, we really enjoyed those times when we went out on those dates.

It was one of my best memories and still lingering in my head till now.

She often visited me and we cooked together, enjoyed what we cooked and laughed while watching the TV.

Slowly, we were getting closer to each other, until one day after a date, surprisingly that day was the last day of the year and were sitting on a bench hugging each other while looking at the starry night sky. It was so beautiful and incredible.

I then looked at the woman in my embrace who also looked up at me. Our eyes met each other, and looking at her deep green eyes that were so clear that reflected myself in them like a mirror.

Attracted.

Yes, I was attracted and mesmerized by them, then without me noticing, our faces got closer and closer until we could feel the breaths of each other then finally our lips met each other in a gentle lovely manner.

Bliss.

I felt a very blissful feeling washing over me, making me wish for the time to stop at that moment for it to last forever.

Her lips were so soft and delicious that made me hooked on them.

What a bliss.

Suddenly, we heard a sound and in the next moment, the sky was colored with beautiful shapes due to the fireworks signalling the beginning of a new year.

We stopped kissing and looked at the sky while hugging each other even more, feeling the warmness of each other's body.

This was so amazing, the best thing had even happened to me. I always didn't believe in love, especially love in the first sight.

But I like a fool, fell in love with her from the first time I met her and due to my high EQ I realized that right away.

And as they say:

When you find love, you find life and happiness

And I couldn't disagree more with that as it was true.

The proof?

It's what I'm feeling at the moment. This woman, who changed my life and turned it upside down, making my heart beat like no tomorrow.

I really love her.

Like that we spent our days together, sometimes visiting her house and other times she comes to mine.

Finally we became engaged and after a month got married.

Her father was so happy for her and my parents as well, they were so happy that they cried tears that finally their too smart son found someone to love.

My mother talked to Liliana and the two seemed to get along with each other and I assume this was because Liliana lost her mother and consider my mother as her mother as well.

Days became months, and the months turned into years and our life was going well.

We bickered a little but we still loved each other madly, it was like there was magnet attracting is to each other.

Truly a bliss.

But then one day, everything turned black. It was so sudden and I wasn't prepared for it or even expecting it at all.

While we were in our house in the living room, we were sitting on the couch beside each other watching a horror movie, a genre that she liked and me too but not too much.

Eating the popcorn with a blanket covering us as the weather was so cold as it was winter.

And while enjoying watching, Liliana decided to go and make more popcorn with cheese flavor which I liked as well, we were similar in many things actually.

However, once she got up and walked some steps away, she fell on the floor like a doll being cut of its strings.

At that moment, I felt like my heart stopped and everything freezed, but I quickly snapped out and got up and went to her.

"ARE YOU OKAY, LILY? TALK TO ME!" I called while shaking her body but to no avail, she didn't answer me.

Her heart was still beating which made me a little relieved, so immediately I picked her up and went to my car and put her there before I got into the driver seat and drove toward the nearest hospital.

And while on the way, I called her family and my parents and told them what happened so they could come to the hospital.

Once I reached there, I got out and went to take Liliana out and go inside the hospital.

Likely, there was some doctors who saw me and immediately took her to diagnose her and know what happened to her.

And while I was waiting in front of the room where she was, I noticed her father and sister along with my parents coming with worried expressions on their faces.

"What happened to my sister?" Her sister asked with nervousness.

"We were watching the TV as usual and when she got up to make some popcorn she fell on the floor out of her blue. I don't know what happened but I hope everything is okay." I said while feeling pain in my heart. I couldn't imagine it happening to her, it scares me.

"Just pray she will get better, this is our only option." Her father said while my parents came to console me and hope for her to be okay.

After some time, the doctor came out and I immediately got up and went to him.

"What happened to her doctor, is she okay?" I asked with worry and the feeling of pain in my heart still didn't disappear.

The doctor looked at us while having a grim expression on his face.

No, that can't be true.

"I'm sorry but your wife is diagnosed with cancer in the late stage, she only have one month to live. I'm sorry." The doctor said that and excused us.

I felt like my world was falling apart and couldn't believe what the doctor had said. My heart felt so much pain.

The light of my life is being taken away. Just like that.

I fell on my knees while tears flowing out of my eyes like stream of water.

Her sister when heard that also cried hard while her father was hugging her to comfort her.

"That damn disease took away my wife and now it is taking my daughter as well, this is..." the man was also crying silently.

My parents were also crying as well while hugging me. My mind was shaking from what I heard from the doctor.

I immediately got up and got inside of the room and went straight to her bed where she was.

"Lily," I called with shaky voice.

"Dan, sorry for leaving you my dear~" She looked at me while saying that, she had a smile on her face but that smile hid many things behind.

I knew she didn't want me to worry more about her but it was too late for that.

"You don't need to be sorry, it's uncontrollable." My sadness washed over me while my tears kept increasing.

"Dan," she called me, making me look at her and when I found tears flowing out of her eyes, it made my heart hurt and feel so much pain.

"I don't want to die, I want to live with you, I want to spend more time with you, having a cute little baby girl and raise her together. I want to live Dan." She said while crying and immediately I hugged her.

"I'm sorry my dear, I'm sorry...." she kept saying sorry while crying as she hugged me tightly.

Painful. So painful.

I can't bear to see my wife crying, I want to see her smile, I want her to be happy and make her wishes come true.

She only had one wish, one simple wish, which was having a child with me and raise it together and live a happy life with our child.

But because of this damn disease she can't, it took her away from me. Her father, sister and my parents also came and started talking with her while I was left feeling my world crumble and my mind overloading.

Then, time passed and a month passed with Liliana's death.

It was so painful, it broke my heart. The most important person in my life died and left me alone, breaking my heart into pieces.

After we finished the burial procedures, it was over and now my life became empty again but this time, rather than feeling bored, I was feeling sad and hurt.

Everytime I sleep I can feel her presence beside me on the bed where we slept together.

Even when I was watching the TV, I could feel her presence beside me on the couch, it was like she was still alive.

I know it was because I couldn't accept her death, but what can I do? The woman who entered my life and turned it upside down, took it away with her when she died.

And now, my life became grey and dull, devoid of any colors. Even the food I used to eat with her didn't have any flavor at all and felt like I was eating shit.

I spent my life like that until one day, I heard that my parents died in a car accident, increasing my pain even more.

That day I cried so hard that my voice couldn't go out anymore.

And suddenly, I felt pain in my heart. The pain kept increasing making me scream more, while feeling my mind shutting down and my vision darkening.

Then before my vision became completely dark...

'I'm coming to you soon, Lily.'

Then everything became dark.
