CHAPTER 74 Dreams

A MAN WITHOUT

FEAR

CANNOT BE

WISE

.....

'Once we get out, we'll definitely…'

As survivors, they'll be thoroughly interviewed and investigated. How would she explain all of this? Thinking about the things Sung Jinwoo had shown them in this place, she could not imagine how the brass will react. She voiced all of this to her fellow Hunters.

"But you know,"

Trembling while sitting on the ground, Yoon Gijoong opened his mouth with difficulty,

"The fact that we're worrying about what we'll do "once we get out"... Isn't that amazing?"

The party members nodded in unison.

They were in a high-level Dungeon, a Red Gate on top of that. The moment they were thrown aside by Kim Cheol, they were only dreading their deaths. But now, they were actually worrying about the outside as if leaving here alive was guaranteed. This was all thanks to one man. Park Heejin turned her gaze to Jinwoo,

'Sung Jinwoo-ssi, you…'

The awe in her heart surpassed her gratitude and surprise.

...

*Jin-Woo Pov*

I had enough of watching from the sidelines. Both of them were doing amazing, but now we are wasting time.

'So let's end this. "Tank, Igris, step aside." As I said that, they both backed down.

This time, using my full speed, I ran towards the boss.

Stab!

Casaka's Poisoned Fang struck the boss's shoulder.

[Paralysis has been inflicted.

The target's resistance was too high. Effect canceled.

Bleeding has been inflicted.

The target's resistance was too high. Effect canceled.]

Lately, because my opponents had become a lot stronger, Casaka's Poisoned Fang's special effects did not take effect most of the time. Still, leaving a wound was good enough.

'Good!'

As more and more wounds appeared on its body, the boss's movements began to slow down.

["Kwaak!"]

The smile had long since disappeared from the ice elf's face. It had taken on Igris and Iron on its own and was now panting.

'Just a bit more!'

Suddenly, Iron succeeded in pulling the boss into a bear hug.

"Now!"

At my signal, both I and Igris fell back. The boss's eyes widened,

["What are you…?"]

The finished spells of the Shadow Mages fell upon Iron.

BANG!

KABOOM!

BOOM!

["COUGH!"] [3]

For the first time, the boss betrayed signs of pain. The ice elf twisted his body, and Iron's arms were blown off.

Crack!

The boss sent a venomous glare at me.

["KWAAAAK!"]

I knew he would survive this, as I didn't want to kill him, not now at least. Not before I find every monster in this place.

'But even with that much damage, he's still able to pull out this much power!'

It was truly the boss of a high-level Dungeon. However, the scales of the battle had already tipped in my favor.

"Call Thunder!"

⚡Zzzzz ⚡

Bam!

Boom!

Just like how I took care of most of my enemies, huge lightning bolts came from the sky, smiting into the ground and melting all the snow around him.

After the light disappeared, what was left was a decent-sized crater in which now lay a fully burned ice elf boss.

He was still breathing and conscious. I'm sure if given enough time, he would recover.

["COUGH!"]

The boss's eyes widened in pain as he struggled to stand up on his legs. As he gave me a hateful glare,

["COUGH!"]

Seeing him still struggling, I reached him in the same second and kicked him in the gut, causing him to cough up a huge amount of blood.

"Stop with that look. If I wanted, I could have ended you before you could even realize."

Hearing me, his eyes widened as if he had just seen me disappear and reappear in front of him disapprovingly, and he understood how much force I had put into the kick, significantly more than I had used during the fight. That's how he knew I had been telling the truth the whole time, that I had been holding back too much.

I then turned around and looked at my shadows who were just waiting for my commands. "Okay, guys, collect the dead bodies and bring them to me, and Gorr, bring those five here. I need to get some answers out of them."

At my command, the shadows started to work. I turned back and looked at my party members who were quivering with wide eyes, filled with dread.

"I suggest you leave. This is going to be messy, and I don't think you would like what you see. So wait for me at our campsite. I've already killed every Ice Bear in this place, so nothing is going to happen." I said as I turned back again without waiting for their answers.

After a few seconds, I realized they were all still standing there. Without a thought, I looked at the unconscious ice elves that Gorr had placed in front of me.

"Water Ball," I chanted, creating a big water ball above them after throwing it.

With that, their bodies jolted, and they opened their eyes. But before they could move, Choking Veins came out of the ground and restrained them.

As they looked around, trying to free themselves from the veins, their efforts were futile as I enhanced the spell with much more mana.

As they all collectively looked at their boss, who was severely injured, fully burned, and bleeding, then they looked at me with despair in their eyes.

"So I am going to ask you some questions. If you answer, your death will be painless. And if you do not, let's just say you will find out soon," I said with a fireball in my hand.

"..."

"Okay, now that you understand, let's start with you," I said as I selected the first ice elf. "So where did you come from?"

And as expected, they all had enough fear in them to answer my questions. But just before he could answer, he glitched and reverted back to his old self.

So, like NPCs, they don't know much. "So how long has it been since you got in this place?"

"F-few days, sir," answered the elf. So they had just arrived, which meant it takes time to connect the portal to Earth with new dimensions. "So from that day on, where have you been living?"

"Not far from here, sir."

"I see. Are there more of you out in this place?"

"Yes, there are a few more whom we left behind for the protection of our village."

"Good, very good. Are there other types of monsters here besides ice elves and ice bears? If so, what are their names or species?"

"Yes, there are Yetis, Ice Giants, Chenoo, Mammoths, and lastly, a single Frost Behemoth."

"Amazing, most amazing," I said, voicing my thoughts out loud. Adding those beasts to my army got my blood pumped up.

I turned around and looked at Gorr. "It seems we have found a good opponent for you," I said and saw a grin on his face. With that, I turned around again.

"As I said, a peaceful death."

"Iron!"

"Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!"

And with a simple word, Iron swung his axe, and in the next second, four heads rolled onto the hard ground.

"What about me?" asked the last remaining Ice Elf, still alive besides the boss.

"Well, I will spare you once you show me the locations of all these beasts' hideouts. You don't think I will be searching for them throughout this entire place, right?"

"..."

"..."

"I thought so."

I walked toward the Ice Elf boss. He was still unconscious, and he remained that way unless influenced from outside.

So I grabbed him by his collar, lifted his body, and threw him at Gorr, who caught him easily with his left hand.

"Keep your eyes on him, but whatever happens, don't kill him. If he dies, things will get problematic."

He nodded. If someone saw a beast acting so tamely, their world would shatter, which was something I was almost proud of.

After storing all the corpses inside the inventory, I turned around and looked at my party, who were now somewhat out of amazement.

After telling them that I'll be back in a day or two, I looked at the remaining soldiers and used 'Shadow Storage for everyone beside the fastest.' At the activation of the skill, the Shadow Soldiers melted like ice into flat shadows. Then, their shadows flowed over to me and entered my own shadow.

As I climbed onto the back of the strongest alpha Ice bear (yes, I have more than one), and with the help of my senses and the Elf guiding me to the location of his village, I pointed.

"It's time to go nuts." With that, the bear ran as fast as he could, followed by my faster servants like Gorr, Saber tooth Tiger, Lynex, Igris, and many more. Some of them were faster than the Ice Alpha, but they still followed behind me.

...

Boom!

Bam!

Boom!

I watched in excitement as both the Frost Behemoth and Gorr clashed. I stood afar, watching the slugfest, knowing that my shadows could learn something from him.

It had been a day and a half since I felt the group. The first thing I did was raid the Ice Elf Village. There was nothing special in that place besides a few bows and daggers, which of course, I looted. The most annoying thing was that there wasn't even a trace of a female Ice Elf there.

I really wanted to know how it would feel to be intimate with an ice elf, but credit to my bad luck, I only found males there.

This ticked me off enough that I burned the whole place. Even then, the anger in me didn't cool down.

Who can blame me, man? I really wanted to score with ice elven beauties. It was for my personal satisfaction.

This was on my to-do list if I got the chance to reincarnate. You know, everyone has things they would do once they got a second chance.

So it ruined my mood as fulfilling every type of relationship was on that list. Yes, there are more types out there, like banging every "fate waifu" at least once, and much more, like getting my favorite waifus. I'm aware it sounds childish and not very mature, but who can blame a man for indulging in his favorite things when they are in front of him? I promised myself I would never regret my new life, and not pursuing those relationships would be a big regret, even if it's selfish of me. I don't care if an immortal life is vast; I don't want to die of boredom.

And everyone knows the best way to eliminate boredom is through companionship, especially if it's with someone you like. And if there are more than you can count, it's a haven, and I like it more than I can count. So I will never get bored, as I can always find more.

The multiverse is a vast place, bigger than I could ever imagine, so there will always be someone I can pursue.

Who cares if she is a Yandere Mother, a lovely Sister, a Cheating Wife, a Tsundere Girlfriend, a Kuudere Daughter, a Dandere Beast Girl, a Deredere Teen, a Kamidere Elf, a Himedere Succubus, a Coodere Fairy, an Undere Goddess, a Mayadere School Girl...

There is always someone I can have, regardless of whether they are someone's mother, daughter, sister, girlfriend, or wife. I will get what I want.

And if it's selfish, then I don't care. Life isn't fair either, and I was lucky enough to get here and possess the right body. Fixed version:

"So why should I be the one to control what it gave me in my former life? Nothing but regrets. I am living the dream of any person from Earth. Not enjoying this would be like spitting on their face.

So I will pursue everything I can. It doesn't matter if it's a demon, devil, angel, goddess, or an ageless being beyond my comprehension. If she is beautiful and likable enough, I am going for her. Love can build over time. Even if she is the antichrist, if she's attractive enough, I'm going to pursue her.

And if she is likable enough, she is definitely on my list to marry.

I HAVE A WIDE TASTE IN GIRLS.

I DON'T MIND

SCREWING BOTH MOTHER AND CHILD.

As I would rather not hear.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned.

What I like to hear is:

"Sorry daddy, I've been naughty."

Even if it's just carnal pleasure, for a moment, I craned my neck and looked up high.

The sky is so long and mighty that it threatens to pierce heaven!

'Once I score a Goddess... not easy ones like Ishtar... I'm gonna call my little Admiral— Babel.' I resolved myself.

Much like the divine tower in Danmachi that hopes to pierce heaven, I hope to surpass goddesses and even more.

This is not a grand ambition by any means.

But I never was a grand person. I am myself. As simple as that. And I intend to live my best life and not fall under anyone else's employment ever again, never having a single regret.

Yes, the latter portion is important!

Taking a deep breath, I glanced at the Ice Giant. They were my next target, the Ice Giants.

And to tell the truth, they aren't truly the giants I expected, as they were only around 40 feet tall. But after we found the alpha, and there was only one unlike Bears, they lived in a big group.

So after finding the alpha, it made my day. Not only was the dude 50 feet tall, but he also knew some ice skills.

So after adding every king to my army, only one of them was a Knight Rank, an Ice Giant whom I conveniently named "Frost."

But again, credit to my bad luck, I didn't find any Alphas between groups of Yetis, Chenoos, and Mammoths.

I only found kings who were slightly stronger than the average mass.

But the shocking part came next when, after looking for "Frost Behemoth" for half a day, I found him just chilling without a care in the world.

I already told Gorr that he can have fun with him. So the moment he saw the "Frost Behemoth," he attacked him using his "Bull Charge" skill, which had a different effect for him, as it dealt 10 times the damage to his strength stat.

Which is a lot, even shocking. The "Frost Behemoth" just shook off the attack as if it was nothing and retaliated with what looked like ice breath.

Freezing Gorr for a few seconds before he broke free. When the fight started, it looked like they were equals, but it was only for the next 15 minutes as the Ice Behemoth started to overwhelm Gorr with his skills and superior stats.

But sadly for him, most of his ice skills, like Frostbite, blizzard, and force blast, didn't have much effect on what was already dead.

Most of the damage was done by his ice shards multiattacks and ice spears, along with ice breath.

Ten minutes later, Gorr was beating the crap out of Gorr, and Gorr only lasted this long because of constant regeneration.

But things took a turn for the good as all this beating forced Gorr to use all his trump cards, buffing himself to the brim using "Berserk" and "Self Harm," and with him serving me, his stat velour tripled to 3X.

Which just showed how powerful the Ice Behemoth is, and he could even fight me if I didn't use magic or my skills.

Now what troubles me is why he wasn't the boss of this place when he was clearly stronger than the Ice Elf. Why is that?

As I am sure Ice is the Boss, just like OG.

Is it because of intelligence or something else entirely new that I am not aware of? Until now, I always thought the strongest monsters would be bosses, but it seems like it's only true for most cases.

As I watched how slowly Gorr was able to steal the fight, it made the Ice Behemoth more aggressive as he realized he was the one getting beaten up.

So he recklessly started using his skills, weakening himself more and more by wasting more and more of his energy.

On the other hand, Gorr, being an undead, got all the perks. He was fighting more and more like a beast on a quest to hunt, taking full advantage of his unlimited regeneration and putting so much power and momentum in his attacks that his body would destroy.

And once he started using his weapon skills, the fight became one-sided, with him chopping the Ice Behemoth into chunks of ice. Yes, just like most elementals, he was completely made of ice. But I am sure he wasn't an Ice Elemental; he was just a creature whose upper body was made of ice.

Two minutes later, the fight came to an end. The Behemoth lay on the ground with cracks all over his body, his legs and arms chopped off.

"You've defeated the mini-boss of the Dungeon.

You've leveled up!"

In all my excitement, I ignored the notification as I ran towards it. I saw three glowing balls on his body, symbolizing the rewards I got.

The next second, I stood in front of Gorr. He didn't look the slightest bit tired, but if he were alive, the skills he used, such as "Self Harm," would come at a greater cost. He would have been near the death door if he wasn't already undead. That's one of the greatest perks for him; now he can use skills like that without care.

.....

...

"So the fighting sense that I was writing grown even bigger that I have thought as it's already bigger than 13 thousand words." - Remark.

So world travel has started to the Akame Ga Kill.

I am currently writing it.

Now to confirm the plot points Esdeath is part of the Harem and other are Shadows.

Now if can suggest me some good shadows both humans and danger beasts it would be great help.

Thanks
