CHAPTER 42 Monsters Sculpture

Now half remained a body of the Minotaur spun over and over before hitting the ground

with a sharp smack.

"Did Hyungnim finish it... ?"

He whispered in a state of shock.

He couldn't take his eyes off Jinwoo, unable to believe what he'd just seen. Jinwoo had his back to Yoo Jinho, but Yoo Jinho's question was only aimed at himself.

Yoo Jinwoo wondered how long ago it was that he saw such a bloody fight, had Jinwoo become strong enough to take down a Minotaur.

An A-rank monster that took a whole party to take it down.

No, this Minotaur was no normal Minotaur. He had master craft weapons with the skill that could bring him back from the dead and make him much stronger than before.

How long had it taken anyone to become strong enough to take one down

alone?

These questions ignited a fire within him, his face turning red. What started as irritation flaring up in his gut turned into a full-blown embarrassment. It spread to every corner of his body.

"...Mind Down."

"He...he's standing there, out cold..."

Yoo Jinho stood there in shock. His voice couldn't hide their disbelief as he looked at Jinwoo, frozen in his last attack position. His right arm was still in front of his body, his hands curled as if holding the double daggers.

He had many many wounds on his body and if he looked closely he could see 2nd° burns all over Jinwoo's body which was showered in the blood and bits of Minotaur.

But he also saw that Jinwoo's body was healing at a much faster rate than before.

The young man was in awe at the man who'd spent every last drop of energy to win the battle.

It was as if a book were open in front of him, the hero of the story just out of the pages.

Yoo Jinho, his head, snapped his tongue at the sight as he ran toward Jinwoo on unsteady feet.

Once reached him, he noticed the state of

Jinwoo. His clothes had long since broken, and his black undershirt had been torn to shreds. His shoulder blades were completely exposed, and only a few threads of fabric kept the shirt on his back.

And his whole post looked like he had a bath in blood. And the blood was not only from Minotaur but his own blood was mixed in it. He had many deep cuts and second° burns all over his body. Some of his teeth were gone as his jaw bent slightly in an unnatural direction.

There are many broken bones and rupture veins clearly seen through the deep cuts he sustains. Even his hair burned away.

"Is he alright?", asked Yoo Jinho to himself as he quickly looked at Jinwoo's nose and saw his breathing as he checked on him, he sighed and said," Hyungnim is still alive and thankfully due to being a high level hunter and his healing skills if he is treated quickly then he won't die", a smile came on Yoo Jinwoo face as he knew this.

He looked at the Minotaur Corps and this shocked him as even after getting imploded with a fireball his torso was not only completely intact but his upper body was also intact even though there was only a skeleton with all the organs and a deep layer of skin was there.

Which was shocking considering how much beating Jinwoo gave him. It shows Resilience and regeneration that tries to repair his body until the very last moments of his life.

He shook his head. It wasn't time to think about this shit. He instantly took out the emergency kid from his bag, 'It was a good thing that I didn't hand over the emergency supplies to Hyungnim for him to store in his special dimension.

As took out a few vials of glass filled with blue liquid and opened up just before But just as he was about to feed it. Jinwoo's eyelids shot open and he grabbed Yoo Jinho's hand at once.

Jinwoo looked around and saw Yoo Jinho in front of him as looked down and saw the corpse of Minotaur. He sighed and grims.

As he felt pain all over his body the adrenaline boost was gone now all the pain caught up to him as he felt more pain just by moving his finger.

He let go of the hand of Yoo Jinho, grabbed his jaw, and with a snap he put it in the right place before mumbling something as blue light surrounded him and the next second all the injuries on his body just vanished. Even his teeth regrow and the hair return to normal the same size as they were before.

"This f*cking piece of sh*t was one hard mother fucker to kill", cursed Jinwoo seeing the dead body of Minotaur. I shouted angrily, gnashing my teeth. Behind me, Yoo Jinho looked worried as well.

Jinwoo Pov

My eyes fluttered as I opened them, only to find a certain young man holding my hand, trying to have me drink some position. I grabbed his hand " Hyungnim, you finally woke up!!", said Yoo Jinwoo happily, I grunted looking around to see the dead body of Minotaur.

Which was still intact I sigh as it means I successfully Kill the fucker and with how much his body was undamaged I can still be able to turn him into my shadow soldier.

I grunted a bit in pain and asked Yoo Jinho," Can you leave my hand?", he nodded lightly and replied," Yes! Here you go", and left the hold of my hand, I came out of my thoughts, and realized I was still standing and looked to find Yoo Jinho leaping at me and hugged me," Finally you are awake for a second I thought we lost you!", I grabbed his head surprising him and then placed him on the ground.

"Don't jump at me like that idiot", I said.

I closed my eyes and checked on my Mana reserves, and how much wounded I was. In fact, a wounded word can't even describe my current condition as I am in critical condition.

And by gazing at my body I knew I gained the skill regeneration that kept me alive. But I didn't want to feel the pain anymore so I fixed my jaw with a snap sound and I activated Status Recovery.

a green light wrapped around me, as all of my injuries healed. And in front of others, it just vanished in thin air.

I sighed and muttered," That's better", Yoo Jinho seeing me all healed and said," Woah! How did you do that?!"I ignored him as I was still bloody with minotaur bits and pieces stuck in me. I looked at the time before the place collapsed which was 2 hours and 46 minutes.

'So labyrinth takes three hours to collapse good to know I guess'

After judging my current condition I chanted "Water Ball"

After modifying and creating a huge water ball above me I let it fall. And with high-speed water falling on me, I was completely clean, I threw away my current clothes and wore a new set of clothes.

I even changed my shoes as they were completely burned out.

I looked at Yoo who nodded and started explaining to me what happened.

I soon understood what happened. After killing the beast I also lost consciousness due to putting even ounces of energy and mana in my last few attacks.

So after his death and me losing consciousness were the most critical moments of my life as in those crucial moments I gained a bunch of skills that just barely saved me from the clutches of death.

And this realization hit me hard like a locomotive literally collided with my body as the realization of how close I was dying again.

This was a feeling I never wanted to feel aging after leaving in that void for who knows how long.

This was something I wanted to remain as far as possible and to do that I attempted everything which included but was not only limited to cutting, torturing, throwing myself in front of hot flames giving injuries, and feeling a hell of a lot of pain.

And even after all this how close I was to dying by the hands of a beast that wasn't even pointed out in the story.

I shook my head, clenched my fists, and bit my tongue to get rid of these thoughts as this wasn't the time to think about these things, this place was going to collapse soon and there was much to do.

So with that, I looked at a bunch of notifications that were in front of me and they confirmed my theory of me gaining multiple skills and items after killing the Minotaur.

But I didn't have the time to look in detail about them.

'It could be done later. First, let's raid the place and get the hell out of this place.'

I shrugged

"Yoo Jinho" I called him out as he was looking at the dead body of the Minotaur.

As he heard my voice instantly looked at me "Yes Hyungnim"

"You see we had approximately three hours before the labyrinth collapsed, So let's head inside pick anything you find that holds some significance or anything that you see or feel weird out of the place," I told him to which he had a bright face as to how he can finally help get something done.

"Yes Hyungnim I will try my best," he spoke out to which I nodded.

As I quickly stored the corps of Minotaur in the inventory I also didn't forget to pick the broken huge red horn of Minotaur.

After all, Danmachi turned this into a pretty good weapon. I am sure I could find some use of it.

After doing this I collected both of Minotaur's weapons, his axe and sword, and the pieces of the light armor that flew away from his body.

Later, we quickly walked through the corridor of the boss room while on the way I picked up all the sculptures of the Minotaur, Dragon, Oni, Hydra, Basilisk, and Chimera.

There could be some clue on them even if there were nothing then which isn't true as the finer details on them told a story that. The one who made them, made them after seeing the real thing.

This also got ascertained after deeply looking at the sculpture of the Minotaur which was the same as the Minotaur. It looked so similar that there was every small detail on the sculpture that was similar to the Minotaur.

They looked so similar, so alive that it gave the illusion that they would come to life and attack you.

And if all this was in my mind they still looked terrific just by the standard of sculpture and even the stone they were made of wasn't something that could be found on the planet.

So picking those fabulous pieces of art, And then we split up and started to look for anything that had some value.

After looking for more than an hour, We rummaged around, but we found nothing that held any significance. There were no secret rooms or traps. So I attempted to look for magical energy, and I found a great amount of magic power coming from the throne that had Minotaur sitting just before the fight.

"I should have started with that," "but then again I never knew what I was looking for. "

As I said those words Yoo Jinho came back with a sad face, as all the existence he had when I said there could be some treasure was gone.

"Hyungnim, I looked at everything and everywhere but I didn't stumble upon anything that could even sell for a penny. " As he looked at me and saw how intensely I was looking at the throne. " Hyungnim, do you think this has some value because I don't think so, look at it it looks plain and simple and is made out of plain old typical rock, not even lime or marble.

I don't think there is anything here. Before those figures of magical beasts, I thought they were pretty valuable, especially looking at their craft and how detailed they were."

He told me with a wide smile scattered on my face and with an old meme face I said "Are sure about that" "Boom" "Crack crack crack" I said as I punched the throne as hard as I could which caused the throne to crack and then break down into chunks.

And what remained after had not only his but even my eyes wide open.

First, there were a bunch of gems and rubies, but no simple kinds of gems and rubies nor the kind of ones that were used to craft or put into crafted weapons for different enchanting effects that were found in any typical RPG.

But this wasn't the only thing there as there were a bunch of magical tools. At a glance, they looked like some cheap imitation of the original but if you look deep enough you feel the magical power coming from each of them.

They looked pretty high quality as I looked at them and a new window appeared in front of me. Disclosing their names in detail.

But I didn't have time for that as the whole place. SHAAAAAKE!

The labyrinth's interiors shook as if the world was ending.

As a bunch of warning windows popped in the format of my eyes.

SHAAAAAAKE!!!

"Hyungnim wh-what is going on?"

As if telling him to leave, the Labyrinth shook intensely again.

Warning: Due core of the Labyrinth being destroyed the Labyrinth is in the process of collapsing.
