Chapter 33: Guy Crimson [Part 1]

Four months flew by rather quickly, and I couldn't find anything new about Black Cloak after I killed all those magicians.

After reporting it to my mother, I returned to my group, and we continued to help villages and hunt monsters. It wasn't anything hard, considering the hardest out of all the monsters we fought was a B-Rank.

But now I'm alone again while Megan, Aiden, and Mai found a new group consisting of ten other members, and Clive returned to his usual duties.

Of course, I left my shadow soldiers in their shadows just to be safe before leaving.

Bringing forth my status, I decided to use the points that I had stored up for over two years.

I whistled, looking at my current status. I haven't looked at it since my magicules reached one million two and a half years ago, so seeing them being almost at two million and having nearly three thousand points to spend was a lovely sight.

'System put 700 points in Strength and Agility.' I said to the system.

[Strength: 691 -> 1,391]

[Agility: 691 -> 1,391]

[Remaining Points: 2,601 -> 1,201]

Now what do I distribute the rest?

'Put 400 points to Vitality, Intelligence, and Perception.'

[Vitality: 691 -> 1,091]

[Intelligence: 691 -> 1,091]

[Perception: 691 -> 1,091]

[Remaining Points: 2,601 -> 1]

I brought my status up again and had a smile seeing my stats over a thousand, "Yet another goal complete." I muttered.

I sighed and took out an apple from my inventory, and started eating it, minding my own business, but then my whole body screamed at me to run away.

I twirled around at full speed only to see Guy Crimson standing there, "Yo do you have an apple for me?" He asked with a smirk, "It's rude to eat alone while the other watch."

Why do I feel like just yesterday I said I wouldn't meet him... "Sure, catch." I threw an apple at him.

He caught it a took a bite, "I felt someone strong here, but I didn't expect it to be a teenager."

"And who might you be?" I asked, slightly nervous and ready to shadow exchange back to the church at any moment. But I felt some sort of disturbance blocking my connection to all the shadows outside my shadow.

"Hahaha! I'm the oldest Demon Lord Guy Crimson," He said with a chuckle, "Normally, I would just kill anyone who asked for my name, but you are interesting."

"A Demon Lord? I haven't seen one for a long time." I said, hoping me knowing Ramiris would save me here, and thankfully he looked interested.

"You've seen another Demon Lord, huh?" He asked, getting closer to me.

"Yes, I have met Ramiris a few times," I replied, sweating slightly.

"Oh, and she hasn't told me about someone so interesting?" He said, and now he was a few meters away from me.

"I want to see what you can do." He said, and I backed away slightly.

"See what I can do?" I asked, but then barely dodged a kick.

"Hmm, yes, you are interesting indeed." He hummed, "Now get ready if you don't want to get seriously hurt."

I was thinking about running away, but I knew I wasn't fast enough to run away from him, and the fact that he didn't look like he wanted to kill me made me stay, so our little fight began.

He wasted no time. Extending his hand and summoning a torrent of scorching flames that rushed toward me. The heat was intense, threatening to consume everything in its path.

Remaining calm, I made an Ice Wall as a protective shield around me. It didn't last long as from the flames came a fist that cracked the ice and headed straight toward me.

I took out my sword and reinforced it before blocking his punch. Even if I blocked it, the force behind the attack was enough to make me stumble back a few meters. It felt like I was hit by a truck.

Quickly regaining my balance, I took a defensive stance waiting for another attack noting that if he wanted to kill me, my sword would break without any resistance by just his punch alone.

"I get it, you have good reactions, but you should try and attack me too," He said in a slightly bored tone, "You don't want to bore me otherwise. This won't end well for you."

"Well then, I should go all out then," I said with a smirk while still feeling scared.

Shadows erupted from the ground, snaking toward Guy to hold him still. While I knew they wouldn't hold him for long, it would still give me a moment of surprise, and he seemed interested in them, so I used the time to attack.

I swung my sword aiming for his head but just by lifting his hand, he split one of my shadows in two and blocked the blade, "Well, this is an interesting ability." He chuckled before trying to punch me with his other hand, but I dodged it and went for a kick to his chest.

"Interesting," He muttered, "You're ability is a skill, but I can't copy it," His smirk widened to a grin, "Now you got my attention."

I don't know if that's a good thing...

"But if you are going to use a sword, then it's only fair I use mine." He said, bringing out a sword I knew was powerful just by looking at it, "Let's see what you can do, kid." He said before rushing at me.
