The Dog Still Barks

The guards were sorry for their actions as they knew who the man was and what he was capable of. They knew this situation was not a fluke or something to look over and ignore. They had really fucked up and they knew it.

They began to beg the old man who ignored them to answer the calls he was having and when they saw it was not going to work out, they turned to Greg who was shocked they were coming to him.

"I believe you all should beg him, I'm a nobody," Greg chuckled, cleaning his bleeding lips as the men refused to stand but scraped their knees on the ground begging.

"We had no idea you were the heir to the company. We are very sorry," one of them said.

"Please, forgive us. We all have families," another chipped in but this made Greg even more pissed than before.

"You all had families and you watched me get treated like that. How would you feel if you saw your family being treated that exact way? Wouldn't you jump in to save them?"

They looked down when he had said that as the man scoffed, stepping away from them.

"Please sir, we made a mistake and we are ready to correct it. It will not happen again. We are promising that."

Greg was not going to believe that. His thoughts went back to how he was slapped and pushed aside and his rage increased.

They had watched him get dehumanized like that and they expected forgiveness. No, he would not forgive them that easily. They would pay for what they had done. They were evil and they would pay for it.

If they had not done it to him they would have done it to anyone else out there. The only reason they were begging was because of the connection he had. If he was without the connections, they would have let Damien beat him to death.

He hissed at them on the ground, looking away while blocking out their pleas with his mind.

Damien had seen everything play out before him and he did not want to accept that Greg was the one they were talking about.

After the old man had gotten the attention of the bouncers and everyone had bowed before him, the man had walked to Greg, bowing to him and even handing his personal handkerchief to the man.

This had enraged him so much he had wanted to rush in there and ask for them to explain themselves until he had heard that Greg was the heir to the Hudson corporation.

This had been a shock to him as he had not seen that coming. He was speechless after hearing this, however, he was not going to believe this.

"Are you kidding me?!" he almost screamed. "The Hudson corporation?! The one that is international and has the owner of the company to be the ten richest person in the world?! That one?!"

Everyone around was as shocked as he was and he could feel his hands shaking in fear at what he had earlier done. But then it dawned on him that this was not going to be real.

The facts were not adding up and he was not going to believe any of it. No, Greg had done something here and it was not real. He had paid people to make him look important. Yes, that was it.

He could tell that this was a prank.

"Do you think it's true?" one of his friends asked in shock. "Because if it is true then we are fucked."

"It is not true and I'm going to prove it. Can't you see that this is a prank? Greg must have saved up a lot of money to make this prank real.

"He must have known that I would be here so he paid the bouncers and an old man to appear and make him important. There is no way what the man is saying is real.

"I believe you guys should fact check what I'm saying. I'm right about this and Greg is going to pay for this stupid stunt he just pulled off."

"But what about the expensive car? That's a Bentley. And it's the latest model too."

"Yeah, did you forget that people can hire or rent cars?"

"So you're trying to say that Greg has thousands of dollars to hire the latest Bentley for a night? One he did not even ride in? That sounds like bullshit to me."

Damien saw most of the people around him agreeing with his friend and he got mad at this. He was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Everyone in the country knew the Hudson corporation.

The Hudson corporation was the biggest in the country with international hands everywhere. No other company came close to the influence they had. They were the elite of the elite, the best of the best.

Damien walked out of the crowd shaking his fists at the old man.

"Stop spreading fake news you old man and get back into your rented car. Get out of here! I can't believe you made us fall for your tricks before but it's not going to be possible. Now scram before I call the cops.

"And you, Greg, you son of a bitch. You think following me around and hiring people to make you look important is the way to go about this huh. I'll teach you a lesson soon and it would be one you would regret.

"Just you wait until I get a hold of the Hudson company and tell them that you're posing as the heir to the throne."

Everyone muttered even louder as they watched what was unfolding before them.

Damien got out his phone to browse out the company's name as he pulled up the site on the internet to show everyone around him.

"There!" he yelled. "The company does not have any heir and you are a liar."
