A week had passed, but Boost's gloomy mood remained stagnant. After loosing to Metalio, he had decided to leave the Legion of Heroes and the earth itself. A few members of the Big six had tried convincing him to stay, but his mind was made up.
He was sure to lose the little sanity he had left if he kept on staying. During the fight, Metalio had helped him realize something. He had spent most of his time searching for his dead girlfriend, so much so that it made him forget that life had more to offer.
Though it was definitely not from Doomsville nor this earth. He knew he had to leave, after all nothing lasts forever. And perhaps it's he's time to bide goodbye. He walked around the Legion hall admiring the entire vicinity one last time. He had somehow grew attached to the things of this universe and was certainly going to miss it all.
"Hey excuse me. Could you show us the way to the training hall." Asked a young girl as a group of youngsters trailed behind her
"Huh?." He jolted back to reality as soon as he heard the female voice. He turned to them but was utterly speechless when his gaze fell on the young girl.
"Samantha!?"
"Ugh?." It was Nadia's turn to be confused.
«Seemed like everyone in the Legion are high on somethin'.»
"Samantha!?" He shouted once more.
She opened her lips to deny, but he quickly wrapped his arm around her, hugging her tightly. She tried to shove him off but his grip was too tight.
"Let me go..." She managed to say.
But he kept on hugging her and muttering words that she couldn't understand.
"Boost...let go off the young girl" Commanded Iron klaw from behind.
He realized what he was doing and quickly released her. She was quick to push him aside and briskly walked towards Iron klaw, while the rest followed her. He kept on staring at her as they left. She was the exact same replica of his "Samantha". Maybe it was best for him to hang on for a bit longer.

Nadia and the rest followed Iron klaw as he led them to the training arena. The arena was filled with lots of superhuman, whom were all displaying different amazing abilities. They continued to walk past them and later arrived to the center of the arena. When unexpectedly a tech goal post suddenly popped out from underneath the floor. As three weird looking robots emerged as well, they walked towards the post and stood defensively in front of it.
"Alright kids this is where your first test for team captain begins. All contestants should step forward" Iron klaw calmly said.
A gleamed with excitement on the sight of the task ahead. she had been looking forward to this day. She was determined to be captain of her team. But unfortunately for her, she wasn't the only one who shared the same dream. Conner and Zara were also contestants and they were all determined to be made captain.
As all three contestants quietly stepped out. "For the first test. Your to get through these robots and score a goal, your to go one after the other. Starting with you". He said as he pointed towards Conner.
"Me?, why do I always have to go first?"
The none contesting teammates all laughed at him sheepishly.
"You have only five minutes Conner." He added sternly.
Conner quickly rushed into the arena as soon as he heard Ironklaw's words. An oval metallic shaped ball suddenly emerged from the floor and he picked it up. His breathing was hoarse and his palms sweaty. As soon as he heard the computerized voice counting. He looked at the three fierce robots, they were all void of emotions, waiting to be ordered.
"Calm down Conner these are just piece of scrappy metals." He tried assuring himself.
"Begin!" The computerized voice shouted.
As he quickly absorbed the metallic ball's properties and his whole body transformed into silver metal. He rushed towards the goal post, ferociously as the robots attempted to stop him. But he smashed through the them with ease and continued to run towards the open post.
Surprisingly the scattered robot parts swifty rejoined itselfs and in the blink of an eye they reappeared in front of him. He halted and glanced at the three dead faced robots. His brows furrowed in annoyance as gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
«These scrappy metals are startin' to prove a bit difficult» He thought to himself.
Still, nothing had changed, he was just gonna smash his way through them once more. He launched to them forcefully as he attempted to smash through once more, but was puzzled when he saw the robots smartly combining their bodies. They reformed into a giant humanoid robot, almost the size of a bulldozer.
He's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at the gigantic robot. But what he didn't expect was for a large metallic hand to suddenly smack him hard on the head. The robots smacked him so hard that he was sent flying into a metal wall of the arena.
"Ouch!" He slightly groaned as he slowly stood up.
His gaze fell on the robots and he gritted his teeth angrily. This was no longer a matter of winning, it was personal. He ran towards them and leaped into the air viciously. His fist was tightly closed as he leaped into the air to land a devastating blow.
Unfortunately his fist met nothing but air as the gigantic robot smartly demarcated itself allowing it to avoid the impending danger. He became even more infuriated. So he quickly stood up and attempted to strike once more, but stopped as soon as he heard the computerized voice declaring the end of his five minutes.
"Your time is up Conner you may come back now."
He threw the ball away angrily and grumbled as he stormed away.
"Your next Zara."
Zara boldly came forward and gradually flew into the arena.
"Remember Zara there'll be no flying. There's a reason it's called football." He added.
She hissed silently before picking up the ball. The robots were once again mounted in front of the goal post like zombies waiting to be ordered. Her cornrow rainbow braids started to glow and the whole team were all in awe on seeing the radiant rainbow color illuminating from her hair. Gradually the rainbow light extended from her hairs to her body. She looked like a membrane of light itself at that moment.
"Begin!."
On hearing the go ahead order, she swifty ran towards the goal post with full determination.
The first robot that tried to stop her, got it's body blasted to pieces by a stunning rainbow beam that she emitted from her hand. The two other robots attempted to stop her, but with her powerful rainbow eye laser beam she easily sliced them into two.
The goal post was empty, this was probably the easiest game in her life. She thought inwardly as she continued to run towards the goal post. Suddenly she felt a cold metallic tentacle wrap around her legs and caused her to stumble to the floor. She struggled to free herself but the metallic tentacles extended to her thighs and gradually covered her whole body.
The robots wrapped around her whole body making it nearly impossible for her to get free.
Her time was almost up and she still wasn't able to break free from their hold. Then they all heard a loud cry. She shouted on the top of her voice.
Her screams was too agonizing that Iron klaw proceeded to call of the robots. But just when they were about to retract their tentacles a huge explosion of rainbow rays erupted. The explosion was so huge that it threatened to fry everything in the arena. Fortunately it didn't as everyone looked at Zara who had already passed out.
Strangely the robots smartly started to rejoin themselves, everyone were surprised. And they began to question the robots survival abilities. Everyone except for Nadia who seemed to have found a weak spot. She felt lucky that Michael didn't join in the contest, else she'd kiss her chances of being the team captain goodbye.
She was able to observe how the robots functioned during her two competitors tests and she was also able to learn from their mistakes. She noticed how the robots were always so protective of their head, even during Zara's incredible out burst. And so she was certain that inorder to end them she had to aim for their head, something that was clearly her specialty.
"It's your turn Nadia."
She held her newly futuristic guns firmly as she marched into the arena. Her heart started to beat fast as the computerized voice kept counting, she could hear Conner's mocking voice but she focused more on the task ahead.
"Begin!."
Without hesitating, she grabbed the ball and ran as fast as she could. One of the robots quickly approached her and tried to prevent her from scoring. But she tacticfully brought out her futuristic gun from her holster and fired at it.
The gun quickly spat out a sharp red laser that chewed through the robot's head. It's head burst open exposing pieces of damaged wires and chunk of metals. The robot fell to the ground immediately and didn't seem to rejoin itself, just as she anticipated. The two other robots ran towards her instinctively.
She didn't pull back in fear rather she rushed towards them with more determination.
Her adrenaline started to pump erratically as she fired at the approaching robots. Unluckily for her they were able to deflect all her deadly headshots with their bodies. Suddenly she felt a strong metallic tentacle wrap around her legs and instinctively she fired at it rapidly and shattered the robots tentacles, rendering them us useless at the moment
She ran as fast as her legs could carry her and on reaching close to the post the same tentacles grappled her legs causing her to stumble forcefully on the metal floor. However she persistently thrust the silver metal ball towards the goal post in hopes of scoring.
Everyone's eyes widened in anticipation and anxiety as the ball slowly flew it's way towards the goal post. But unfortunately one of the robots teleported it's way in between the goal post and the ball.
Her hopes died instantly as she saw this, she never knew they were also given such ability.
She bent her head to the floor and bowed to defeat.
"Goal!!." The young supers suddenly cheered.
As she quickly raised her head in confusion, but was surprised to see that the ball had flew into the goal post along with the adamant robot.
She was utterly speechless as she wondered how she was able to throw with such power.
«Are my abilities finally manifesting?.»
She was suddenly dragged up by Anastasia and Mikaela as they hugged and cheered her.
Conner and Zara didn't seem so happy, they'd all been hoping to be team captain.
"I've always known you were meant for this Nadia" Anastasia said cheerfully.
"Thanks Stasia" She simply said.
"I wish you saw the look on Zara's face when you scored" Mikaela face lit up as she jeered.
"Well I guess this calls for celebration girls" Lucas said as he appeared out of thin air.
The girls were about to rebuff him but he impressed them by magically puffing out bottles of exotic wines.
"Nice one Lucas but it'll take more than a few bottle of wines to woo us." Mikaela said in her funny accent.
"Well then I guess its a good thing I brought this with me."
He said as he gestured for a blue futuristic sports motorcycle that suddenly appeared out of thin air. Her cheeks turned pink as she unknowingly started to blush.
"H..how did you know?."
Nadia and Anastasia could only watch as the drama unfolded.
"Let's just say I did my homework." He said while smiling sheepishly.
"But the real question is. Will you join me for a hot ride?." He asked with a proud smirk on his face.
She bit her lips nervously while trying to repress the sudden excitement.
"Not the kind of ride I had in mind earlier there'll be plenty of time for that" He added and dashed her a flirtatious smile.
"There'll be no riding in the Training arena Lucas. Now I suggest you all return to your dormitory." Iron klaw suddenly interrupted.
"Sheessh. Ease up big man."
"Yeah, he needs to get a drink or somethin'."
Mumbled the youngsters as they slowly left, until finally the arena was empty.
"Why did you do it?. Why did you help her?." He suddenly asked.
As an anonymous figure gradually came out from its dark hiding. "Because my Samantha has suffered enough in thousands of Earths. She deserves some happiness" His voice held a hint of desperation.
"Your aware she's only seventeen?." Queried Iron klaw, with a hint of disgust.
"I've spent a ten years searching. I can't see how waiting for a few years would be any different." He shamelessly retorted.
"Stay away from my students Boost. This is my final warning." He said sternly and coldly walked away.
Boost sighed deeply, he didn't regret helping Nadia by pushing the ball and the robot into the goal post. But part of him felt guilty for the kind of carnal desires he felt for a girl that was three times lesser than his age. Still he simply couldn't help it. Besides she was still his lovely Samantha.
