I was feeling the pressure. It felt as though everything was crashing down on me at once. My un-marked mate. Vampires. My home. I was carrying a weight on my shoulder I know would break me eventually.

I walked out of my office and headed back over to Aniyah's room to find her. She was not there but the smell of her scent still lingered in her room. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen to see Keira and Keisha sitting at the table.

/"Keira, where's Aniyah?/" I opened the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of water.

/"Um she had to go to her house to get more clothing./" She did not sound to truthful. Their racing hurts confirmed it.

/"Where is she Keira?/" I asked again. I knew she could not keep anything a secret for long. Especially from me.

/"I just told you, she went to her house./"
