seven day challenge

"Will you still say yes if I ask you to go out with me." He stared at me with those beautiful hazel eyes. He squinted, his eyebrows were slightly creased. "Define go out." I was a bit surprised. "Uhmm.. just go out?" "Like a date?"  "Yeah?" "How many?"  "What?"  "How many dates?" Okay. That was unexpected. I was just hoping for one date and let everything run it's course. "Seven?"

day two: Ivan's on cloud nine

I met Jaycee at the Festival Mall. Earlier today he asked to claim date number two and asked me out to the movies. We sat together at the cinema, Jaycee was quiet. I'd cast sidelong glances at him but he was too occupied with the movie. He'd smile every now and then if he found something amusing. I dived my face at the popcorn tub for distraction because that smile and that cute little dimple would kill me.

When my popcorn's devoured, I paid attention to my green tea frappe that hardly taste like tea but it's green so loved it. I rested my hand on the armrest, Jaycee shifted to his seat and reached out to me. OMG. I froze. I started chewing on the straw to relax myself. But I kinda like this though, it feels like a real date.

The rest of the night was a blur beacuse I was in cloud nine.

And for the second time of the week, I woke up in Jaycee's bed. He's still asleep when my eyes flew open. My heart started pounding like crazy. I turned to my side so I was facing him. I could smell his shampoo, that nice lavender scent. I closed my eyes and moved closer to him so I could smell him some more. Then I felt him stir, then I felt his hands on my waist. I suddenly opened my eyes, surprised.

"Good morning" he smiled.

The more he looked at me, the more I felt like melting.

He kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms around me.

"I'm getting used to having you in my bed."

I buried my head in his chest to hide my embarrassment.

"Am I talking to a pillow or something?" He chuckled.

I shook my head. I pointed to the clay figure sitting at his desk. It was of a girl with a golden mask holding a golden ball just so I could make him talk about something else.

"Once there were seven moons that brought beauty and light to the night sky. One day, a sea creature was so captivated by the moon that he wanted to devour them all. The sea creature was able to devour all but one, the haliya, the last moon." Jaycee narrated. "Isn't she fascinating? She wears a gold mask to mourn her sisters, the other six moons. "

"Why does your house have so many of her though?"

He stood up and motioned me to follow him "My mom makes them, and she was named after her, Haliya the moon deity."

My eyes widened. I remembered Jaycee saying that his mom got a teaching job at the college of arts.

We went to the kitchen and was welcomed by the smell of fried rice and corned beef. Food. The smell carved out a smile from my face.

"Why are you smiling?"

I looked at him, still grinning. He flicked my forehead and shook his head. "Eat, we have to go to school."

"Good morning kids." Jaycee's mom greeted us. She then put down the car keys in front of Jaycee then gave him a thumbs up.

"Thanks." He mouthed.

After breakfast and a quick shower, again I was wearing Jaycee's clothes. I was getting accustomed to his scent in my skin and I blushed at the thought. Maybe I'm just gay. Well whatever.

"Let's go?" He asked, twirling the keys. "I'm driving"

I nodded but gave him a questioning look. "You even allowed to?"

"I'm eighteen." He grinned.

He walked to the door and I followed, wrapping my arms around him.

"Your so small." He said.

I hugged him tighter. "You're just a giant."

We got in his car and drove to school.
