Wicked Secret

Later, on the court's rooftop, Rohan stood at the edge with his arms crossed, gazing down at the city below, Limuru and V behind him. Soon, a door opened, and a panting man ran towards Rohan. Rohan turned to him, approached him, and said in displeasure, "You took your sweet time, Cormac."

Cormac, the official successor to the throne and Liam's son, wore brown robes and black slippers. He had short brown hair and a long beard. Panting heavily, he bent his back and said, "I came here as fast as I could, Servant Rohan."

Rohan glared into his eyes and asked, "Did you hear about your father's death?" Cormac stood straight, froze, and said, "My father died?"

Rohan crossed his arms and said, "He hid the truth from a servant and refused to serve the faith." He leaned closer to him, held out his hand, and said, "And with this arm, I made him suffer for it." He exhaled loudly and asked, "Will you take vengeance for him?"

Cormac's knees shook, and he said, "Defying a servant is akin to defying the moon."

Rohan extended his hand and said, "Then do what your father refused to do and shake my hand." Cormac shook Rohan's hand and stared at him in fear. Rohan gripped his hand hard and asked, "Who gave you information about your technology?"

Cormac winced and answered, "Servant Leth!"

"What's powering all this technology?" Rohan asked.

"Leth's power! He gave us a sphere containing his energy; it's yet to be depleted!" Cormac answered.

Rohan let go of Cormac's hand and muttered, "That fucking asshole!" He looked at V and said, "A servant's energy holds his information."

V widened his eyes and said, "He gave them resources to build his dreamland and made them hide it so other servants wouldn't know about his secrets."

Rohan looked at Cormac and said, "Take us to the energy core now!"

Later, at a shrine outdoors, Rohan entered the garden, followed by his companions, Cormac, and soldiers. The shrine area held Leth's energy sphere in the middle, surrounded by a lush garden with a ceiling hole to expose it to outer sunlight.

Rohan approached the sphere and Cormac yelled, "Servant! Touching the sphere directly is lethal."

Rohan looked at him and said, "Not for a servant of the same faith." He approached the sphere and stood before it. V shouted, "Rohan! You're about to tap into the mind of a weeb. Are you sure this is a good idea?"

Rohan gave a thumbs up to V. V shrugged and muttered, "Well, I warned him."

Rohan touched the sphere, and his body tensed up. The connection was made moments later, and Rohan froze with frightened eyes. He turned to them, dropped to his knees, his eyes wept, and he screamed while pulling his hair like a madman.

The soldiers approached him, and Rohan snatched the knife from one of them and tried slicing his nearly indestructible wrist while shrieking. V ran to him and shouted, "What the fuck are you doing, Rohan!?"

Rohan looked at him while crying and yelled, "Leth! LETH!! Damn that scum!! I'll never forgive him as long as I live!!" He cried harder and began smashing his head on the floor.

Hello, dear reader; V here.

Rohan is in a mental meltdown. The narrator gave up after learning what Rohan saw. Worry not, I'm here to sate your curiosity.

I know some of you will not be interested in what I'm about to say, so you can go ahead and skip this chapter entirely since there won't be anything happening after that scene.

Now, to ensure this novel won't get canceled. I'll hint at what happened with politically correct or legal terms and place condemning sentences afterward so the people in suits and failing journalists won't have a case to stand on.

Leth was a minor attracted person; bad person, boo.

Leth liked experimenting with the output of the digestive system, and he made sure others learned and participated in his passion. Not illegal, so I won't condemn it, although immoral, so…sorry?

Leth was an animal lover and made sure those animals knew he had nothing but love for them; the wording isn't illegal, and it also pleases PETA!

Leth loved exploring sexual experiences. He was such an avid lover that he had intimate, consensual, legal relationships with all kinds of races. He was such a generous and caring partner that he always chose to be the bottom so his partners would only experience pleasure. There is nothing immoral or illegal about that.

Leth was keen on spreading love, tolerance and coexistence. Every week, he would hold love councils in his name so all races could eject their burdens on him. Totally legal and moral!

Lastly, the final bits of his memories displayed his country of origin. For legal reasons, I can't mention it, nor can I directly point at it, but all I can say is Leth was from an island country that committed tons of war crimes.

This is your substitute narrator, V, and I wish you a nice day. Also, don't forget to send thoughts and prayers to Rohan, the narrator and the author. They're all crying in the corner and are moments away from having a stroke.
