Serene and The Six Realms

Synopsis Princess Serene who belonged to Fae Realm had her life taken a 180-degree turn when she decided to join an institute full of vampires, werewolves, and witches. Being of Fae's kind, she attracted love and hatred from these creatures. But, the person who captured her heart was none of these three beings but an entirely different being..... Her world was basically divided into six realms: Fae (where fairies dwelled) Haxum (where witches and warlocks lived) Lycanus ( abode of werewolves) Wampir (where vampires were settled) Folkshel (where common or non-magical people lived) Dark ( where all kinds of mythical creatures and monsters lurked) Centuries ago her forefathers formed an alliance to deal with the threats posed by the Dark Realm. It was a horrid place where all kinds of mythical creatures and monsters lurked. They kept invading other realms so it was barricaded using a powerful boundary spell. But, after about 5 centuries of peace something evil was rising in the dark realm and everything in our world was about to change... .............. Excerpt So, that's what you believe? That your existence pains me? And that you are using me? Tell me, did you ever ask me to do something for you?" His voice seemed to be on the edge of being hurtful. I didn't know what to say to him and seemed tongue-tied. That feeling of hopelessness when you want to do something but you can't creep up on me. "You spoke with each other, determined my fate and decided whom I was supposed to love. At least let me choose the person I want to love. Have I asked you to love me back?" His words hit me like a tornado shattering my heart into millions of pieces. I couldn't understand why he wanted an unrequited love so much, which would only bring him heartbreak, over and over again. "Answer me, please." His tone was playing on the border of hurt and endurance. "No....you didn't." These were the only three words I could say to him, I wanted to say so much more but my whole body was trembling and my heart was racing so fast right now. I knew he could hear it. "Then let me be Serene, please let me be. You don't want me to bother you? I won't. I already keep my distance as you made that abundantly clear the last time. But, please don't take my will. Let me decide whom I want to love. And, one last thing: your existence is not a source of pain for me. Don't ever think like that again and stop letting others put words into your mouth." With these words, his gaze held mine for a brief moment. The agony in his eyes was indescribable, and then he swiftly turned around and left. *********** Take this journey with Fae Princess Serene to find out how she juggles life decisions. Chapter 24

Serene' POV

Today, the sky was Teal in colour, giving everything a sense of peace and calm. The particles in the air mixed with sunlight gave different hues in different months. Teal was one of my favourites, it always made me feel rejuvenated. The weather it brings is almost cool not chilly though. A light breeze blows everywhere.

I lay in bed reminiscing about yesterday's events. Tanzil was the first person to make me feel welcome and accepted here but all that changed in an instant because of a mere misunderstanding. It pained me to think about it. I needed to talk to her to clear up this misunderstanding. Should I give it some time so things would cool down?

"Hey! wakey wakey," Ayrden's cheerful voice jolted me back from my thoughts. "Good morning!" I smiled back at her. "Let's head down and get some breakfast before classes."

"Give me ten minutes, and I will be good to go."

I packed my books and my bow in my backpack and made our way to the dining hall. It was early, so most of it was empty. I was relieved, didn't want to face anyone this early.

We had some fruit juice and cereal. Classes were to commence at 8 am sharp. We had "Distinctive Historical Eras" as our first subject with Shumal Arta Sensei. As we were leaving the dining hall it began to bustle with activity and the clattering of utensils.

We entered the class and there was only one other person already seated at the back with his head lowered. His flaming red hair fell in his eyes and hid half of his face. His long finger drummed the desk. There was no mistaking that red hair. I stepped closer to him but he didn't look up. " Thank you, Arlo, for yesterday. I am really grateful." He just nodded without saying anything. He was so shy, I hadn't seen him speak yet.

I went and sat with Ayrden. Each desk had two chairs, while desks were made of grey-black marble, chairs were wooden and metallic silver. The classroom had a huge window on its left side which filled it with a teal hue. The walls were painted steel blue and there was a huge tree drawn on the right-hand side. Pictures of each of us had been pasted on it with the number zero on top.

Class gradually filled up. Tanzil was sitting with Mikasim right at the front of the class. She didn't spare a glance at us.

Zeph was sitting with Ralph near the window, they were deep in conversation. Everyone looked excited about their first class some of them were giving me queer looks though, which I chose to ignore.

Shumal Sensei entered the class and a sense of silence began to prevail. She explained how she will be teaching us all about the history of our world and the famous battles that took place over the centuries, especially the sealing of the Dark Realm. She was fun and her sense of humour made the class interesting.

She also explained the purpose of the tree with our pictures. It was to determine our academic and personal growth. Points will be awarded to us for class participation, assignments, and other related tasks. On the other hand, points will be deducted for negative behaviour and poor academic result.

"Anyone, ending up with a negative score at the end of the month will have to give me a bottle of their blood." She told us in an ominous tone.

Looking at the horrified faces she began to laugh. "All of you are such a bunch of idiots, I am only kidding." Relief washed over us.

She then gave us a quiz on Dark Realm and the wall. Since, my bizarre encounter with the wall, I had read a lot about it lately. I knew almost all the answers which was a relief. Those who couldn't answer properly were given extra revisions.

"Tomorrow, we will visit the wall and I will tell you some interesting facts about it." Shumal Sensei announced.

I began to feel overwhelmed just hearing about it. My last encounter hasn't been a very pleasant one and Zian had told me to stay away from the wall as long as we figured out what had caused it. Something needed to be done about it so I decided to talk to Artins Sensei. We had a class with him next.

This class was called: " Enlightening the Ways of Enchantment " and was to be attended by witches, vampires and me.

Folkels and Werewolves were to attend their training sessions with Lavaria and Sarim Sênsei. Werewolves will learn how to control their shifts and fighting techniques while Folkels will learn combat. Since they don't have the magic they had one more combat class than us.

We made our way to " Enchantment Hall " which was specifically designed for all kinds of magical training. It was located at the end of the corridor with a huge metallic door which was painted purple with intricate designs and two black doorknobs. It had a glass dome on top with the inscription: "For those who seek, there is always a way." Written boldly with gold.

As we pushed open the door to enter, it felt like a completely different world. The hall was huge and dimly lit with pink and purple lights. The ceiling was enchanted to look like a night sky with bluish-purple clouds and galaxies. On the left side, there was a gigantic cupboard full of ancient and modern tomes. Comfy sofas and chairs in shades of plum and gold were strewn in front of it, with white light orbs floating all around them to give extra light to readers. On the other side, there was another huge cabinet, containing candles, feathers, potions and other essentials.

There were several windows and each one seemed to open into a different world. Somewhere, it seemed to be daytime while at others it seemed the night has fallen outside and stars appear to be shining. The air of the hall felt eerie and almost had a smoky touch which didn't hurt the eyes. We could see hundreds of fireflies twinkling above us. The beauty of this hall was mesmerising.

" Welcome, to the Enchantment Hall " Artins Sensei suddenly appeared in front of us. "We will begin the class by seeing what magical powers and attributes you people have." He motioned towards the large open, and all of us stood in a line facing him.
