Chapter 2 – Yoichi

Not long after, Atsushi and Yuichiro entered the school and meet up with Shinoa Hiragi.

"Morning, Shinoa-chan," Atsushi greeted happily.

"Good morning, Atsushi-kun," Shinoa greeted back. "You're joyful as usual, aren't you?"

"Yeah, but this morning, I saw his state being weird," Yuichiro responded. "I mean, he was in the middle of thinking, I think."

"Oh really? What are you thinking about, Atsushi-kun?"

"Oh, it's nothing at all, Shinoa-chan," Atsushi pretended to know nothing what he was thinking earlier. "Nothing at all."

"I better hide this from them," Atsushi thought in his mind.

Hiding it from them gives him a sense of security.

"I see. Okay then."

Then, suddenly, the three of them saw Yoichi being bullied by Yamanaka and his friends. At first, Yuichiro decided to turn a blind eye to it, causing Atsushi to ask, "Wait, you're not gonna do something about that, Yuichiro-kun?"

But then, when one of those bullies called Yoichi a farm animal, Yuichiro decided to intervene instead, causing a little fight between him and Yamanaka and his friends.

Atsushi, hugging his Japanese dictionary, was unsure about that, asking, "W-What are you doing, Yuichiro-kun?"

Then, when everything seems to be progressing, Shinoa gave Yuichiro a reminder that beating up students will result in an extended suspension.

This causes Yuichiro to be distracted, and one of the bullies eventually punched him in the face, resulting in him and Yoichi buying snacks for Yamanaka and his friends.
