Chapter 67

Suzan hearing this felt happy, now she would be rich as well. She could use some of the money to open up a business. It could be a modelling school. Looking at the clothes, she picked the one on the mannequin and others and asked Anna to package them. She only gave two dresses to be sold. She didn't want to be so greedy. 

Her mother would be thrilled by the news. She thought about finding a good time to invite Roselle and Lylic out from dinner, but she felt this would be impossible. It was more like asking the Dragon Queen for an egg, the person was risking his or her life. This was because he wouldn't get the egg, rather he would get burnt.

"Thank you so much, for all your help" Suzan said sincerely, she was lucky to have met Anna

"You're welcome darling, I am sure your mom would be waiting patiently for you. I must say I am really happy with the way things turned out" After exchanging their contact. Anna had packaged everything and sent them to Suzan's address. "You would get them when you get home" she said with the smile

Stephanie was given two days to recuperate and she was to resume work after that as a casual staff. She had tried convincing her parents to help her talk Roselle out of it but it wasn't working at all. Especially her father, she got so mad at him,he had never laid a hand on her but he did. He gave her a resounding slap,ever since when she was a child he treated her like a princess. Her cheeks gave way,they became so red like tomatoes. He blamed her for putting them in a mess and said she deserved worse than the punishment she was given.

She had told him that she would reject the offer but to her surprise, he had threatened her. He said he wouldn't pay a cent, she would be on her own. Going to her mother,she behaved as spoiled as she used to but it didn't have any effect on her, so she decided to let it be. Since no one was on her side, she had no choice.

Sitting in her room sulking, her mother came in. "Stephanie, you have not eaten your food. I hear you haven't had breakfast, neither did you have lunch" Eunice said with a frown.her daughter was trying to be stubborn but that won't help her at all, she would only make matters worse.

"Darling, your father has made up his mind and there's nothing you can do about it. Even if you starve yourself to death, he wouldn't change his decision. Anyways don't you think your cousin is trying to give you a way out? She must be trying to safe your face"

" What face? Mom, you need to see the way she treated me. She treated me like I was garbage. I felt sick and terrible"

"You've heard about your cousin's behavior, She is not totally at fault you also are. If not that she's family, she would have made you pay that debt at all cost"
