As they chatted, Carina Smith had already come out, walking out of the B&B's door, and curiously glancing over here, "Where? Who's wearing glasses? How good-looking are they? Who is it? Mr. King?"
As she spoke, Carina's gaze was directly fixed on Mason King, her face full of excitement, "Huh? Where are the glasses?"
Looking down and seeing that the glasses were in his hand, Carina became even more curious and happy, "Why did you take them off? Mr. King, can you put them back on and let me have a look?"
Mason's indifferent gaze swept across her oddly yearning and excited expression for just a second, then emotionlessly returned his focus, casually handing the glasses over to Suzanne Trent, who had just exited the tent, signaling for her to go back in and help him put them away.
Suzanne took the glasses and went back in.
The scene not only displayed silent indifference but also cold refusal.
