This place was considered a tourist attraction near the St. Louis Ancient City Scenic Area, but it wasn't the most popular attraction center. Although there were tourists, there weren't too many of them. Most people were local shopkeepers, employees, or residents. There were a few sparsely scattered vegetable gardens and fruit orchards hidden by fences around the area, and a small supermarket in the style of an old shed was about a mile away.
There were no electric mosquito repellents or liquid mosquito repellents, only old-fashioned circular black mosquito coils.
