The family banquet ended late at night. After the guests left, only a dozen or so close relatives from the King Clan stayed overnight at the old mansion.
Suzanne Trent returned to her room to remove her makeup and take a bath. After she was done, she pulled out her script and started reading it in bed, trying to memorize her lines before she got too tired.
However, before she could even get through one page, Mason King, who had also just taken a bath, closed the script with a calm expression on his face, saying, "It's very late. Continue this tomorrow."
"I have a scene tomorrow morning, and there are only a few days left until we wrap up 'Assassin's Shadow'. I still haven't memorized some of my lines."
"You've been busy all day. You won't be able to memorize anything now. You need to give your brain enough rest so that you can be more efficient tomorrow."
"...Mason, are you really going to support me as a freeloader who doesn't do anything?"
"I can afford it."
