Mason King glanced at her and said indifferently, "When will you get rid of the habit of walking barefoot on the carpet without shoes?"
Suddenly realizing what he meant, Suzanne Trent curled her toes subconsciously and looked down to see that she was indeed standing barefoot on the carpet.
"Uh, I was going to wash my face and thought there were slippers in the bathroom..."
Mason gestured for her to go put them on. Suzanne hurriedly went into the bathroom, and it wasn't until she was about to wash her face in front of the mirror that she noticed the almost imperceptible mark above her collarbone.
So, if he said he wouldn't touch her, he really meant it? And if he said he couldn't control himself, he really couldn't?!
Suzanne forcefully turned on the faucet, letting out a torrent of water. She adjusted the temperature to the coldest setting and splashed her face, being careful to avoid the gauze on her forehead.
