Chapter 152: Can I Have It Now? _1

Suzanne first checked the package, gently shook it, and only heard a muffled sound inside. It didn't seem like there was anything strange or heavy in it.

She went back to her room to get a pair of scissors and opened the package. The moment she saw what was inside, her expression tightened.

"Mommy, what is it?" Lily ran out, saw Suzanne squatting next to the box with a serious expression, and tried to sneak a peek out of curiosity.

"Abigail Trent, go back inside!" Suzanne suddenly looked up, her voice exceptionally stern.

"...Oh." Lily blinked, looking quite innocent, and quickly retreated back into the room. She then leaned against the doorway, watching Suzanne squat outside for a long time without moving: "Mommy..."

Suzanne slowly closed the box in her hand, her fingers feeling a little cold. She silently lowered her head, and her hand gradually clenched into a fist.
