Suzanne Trent walked out of the police station and returned to the car. Lily had been waiting for her for over half an hour. Seeing that Suzanne emerged unharmed, Lily finally felt at ease.
On the way back to the set, Lily drove the car.
Suzanne sat in the passenger seat with a calm expression on her face, but her fingers unconsciously slid the phone screen on and off several times.
The words Allen Walker said to her still echoed in her ears:
"A few years ago, a murder happened at a seafood market near Southward Road. When I was investigating that long-unsolved case, I happened to see the surveillance footage of the street surrounding a nursery on Southward Road. Was Lily in that nursery?"
"A few suspicious individuals took turns lurking around the nursery for several consecutive days. Their intentions are unknown, but so far they haven't committed any crimes. The police can't intervene as long as they don't do anything."
