CHAPTER FOUR INTRODUCTIONS PART 3

Ken’s POV

A month later I woke up in a hospital and I saw my dad sitting beside me fast asleep so I just looked around and noticed that I couldn’t feel my left leg that had been placed in a cast, and bandages on my head and stomach, and I a little difficulty in breathing but I was okay

I looked around and noticed a lot of flowers and get well cards in the ward I looked at the room for a while then I dozed off.

I woke up two hours later to see my dad beside me reading a book so I called out to him.

The minute he heard my voice he turned to me and saw that I was awake and hugged me immediately as he almost broke into tears then he let me go and called the doctors

The minute my dad made the call three doctors came in followed by a hoard of nurses came to my bedside and brought a wheelchair, put me in it and took me to a number of rooms in the hospital for tests.

Then they helped me back to my ward so that I could rest, when I got back to my ward I saw my dad and I asked him about my mum and he said that she was busy with work but she would be back soon that I should just wait.

A month passed and I was recovering well, my cast was removed although I still had some bandages on the leg the other wounds I sustained on my left leg. I was able to walk around the hospital but with crutches since my physical therapy was going well,

My dad hired a Caretaker to look after me, her name is Mrs. Rachel, she was a single mother and had a son named Harrison who is a year younger than me.

She normally came to work alone but sometimes she brought Harrison along, Harrison has a very cheerful and bubbly character, he loves art and is fun to be around.

So one day while I was strolling round the hospital in my crutches I saw Harrison playing with some other kids beside the hospital when someone bullies who where about my age came started beating him.

After witnessing such a horrible sight I walked over to where the bullies where and hit one of the on the back with my crutch and then I hit the other on the back of his leg causing him to fall then I helped Harrison up and turned to leave with him.

But before I could one of the bullies took one of my crutches and the other bully hit my neck with his elbow and I fell to the ground on my injured leg and I cried in pain.

The bullies left me on the floor and were about to go back to Harrison when i heard a gunshot and one of the bullies suddenly collapsed and started bleeding and the minute I saw the boy’s body on the floor my entire body start shaking and I felt a very intense and sharp pain in my leg, then my ears started ringing as I remembered seeing my mum dead on the floor of an abandoned house and then everything went dark.

I woke up the following day and saw my dad beside me, I looked at him and I asked him what had happened but the doctor suddenly came in and told my dad to give him a minute alone with me.

My Dad agreed and left the ward after my dad left the doctor turned to me and told me what happened yesterday and that what I experience before I fainted was a panic attack.

I look at him shocked because I couldn’t remember the incident that he was talking about, and I told him that I couldn’t remember it, he told me that it was normal then he opened a briefcase that he had with me and showed me a picture of the bully that had been killed and he asked me what it reminded me of.

I looked at the picture and I immediately remembered what happened and at that moment I felt my heart racing I suddenly myself gasping for air.

The doctor turned to me and told me to breathe and showed me some breathing exercises and it helped me to keep me calm.

Once I was calm he told me what did I remember when I had the panic attack when the bully was shot.

I listened to his voice and tried to remember then it hit me

The day my mum collected her award and I was in the car with har I passed out I actually woke up in an abandoned house and I saw Mr. Shawn holding a gun in front of my chest and my mum immediately turned to the man and begged him to spare me buth he didn’t listen.

I rememberred watching him pull the trigger on me but he fell and the bullet hit me on my left leg apparently my mum found a pocket knife at the last minute and she threw it at his knee and he fell and missed his shot.

I cried in pain as my leg bled out my mum called me and said she was sorry for what had happened but before she could finish talking Mr. Shawn stood up to his feet pulled out the knife, and turned to my mum furiously then picked up his gun and shot her in the chest and was about to shoot me again but a dozen policemen came in and took him away and I passed out again.

Now that I had remembered I started crying and bawling, on my bed and my dad came into my ward and the doctor told him that I remembered everything and he should console me after that my dad told me that the bully that was killed was the Grandson of a mafia Godfather and he was killed as a form of revenge.

I was very surprised to hear this news about the bully but I didn’t think much of it back then and I asked of Harrison and my dad told me that he was in shock and that his mum resigned and I never saw him after that.

My dad got me a new Caretaker that took care of me throughout the following week in the hospital while I mourned my mum and continued physical therapy,

I was discharged the following week and my dad took a break to take care of me while I recovered.

Two more weeks passed and I finished my physical therapy, able to walk very well without my crutches.

Once I totally recovered I asked my dad to allow me to move back to Oakdale and finish my highschool there.

My dad agreed and moved me to Oakdale and enrolled me in an expensive private school there, I was a year behind because of my accident and loss of my mum.

I was really uncomfortable and my classmates were just cruel to towards me but that was probably because I got my dad and the school board to keep the fact that I was the son of a mayor because I didn’t want fake people to surround me and I never wore anything expensive to school so they all looked down on me.

Things continued like that for Five years passed and I finished elementary school and was in my second year of middle school.

On my first day in the new year it was that day that I met them. Kira Pattinson and Mike Emerson they were new students that had just transferred to my school,

It turned out that Kira’s dad owned a very successful tech company and her mother was a very popular actress and model, her mother was also the daughter and second daughter of the most successful TV Stations in Chicago Emerson TV and Magazine and yes you guessed it the first son older brother of Mrs Pattinson is Mike’s Father while his mum is a TV Anchor and runs a Reality TV series with Emerson TV.

Basically what I am trying to say is that they are filthy rich and everyone in our class new it and wanted to be friends with them Except me

Then during their second week in the school they came and sat with me during lunch instead of the popular crowd.

I was about to asked them why they were sitting with me that day but before I could the Tommy and Silvia the most popular kids in school came and asked them why they were with me and the insulted me.

Then the most unbelievable thing happened Mike Kira shunned them and said I was cool and that they wanted to be friends with me.

When I heard them I sat on my chair overwhelmed with sh

ock while everyone stared at me.
