Hendry pulled the corners of his lips, holding them, so he wouldn't show a smile that broke out in front of Ginny. Obviously, he had to keep his pride in check so he get too caught up in chasing a Ginny Albright.
"A little wine is okay?" asked Hendry carefully.
"Of course." Ginny answered with a nod of her head.
"Steak?"
"With pleasure," Ginny replied again.
Hendry smiled again.
While Hendry ordered food for the two of them, Ginny was busy observing around the restaurant. She remembered a few months ago, she had come to this place with Dave and Fiona for dinner.
Ginny never thought that her life would end this tragic and terrible. He always tries his best for the people he loves, especially Dave and Fiona. But unfortunately, the person he fought for and loved the most was the source of all his adversity so far.
Lies, betrayals and obviously infidelity that Dave showed openly when he found out that Ginny was far below average in terms of finances.
"Ahem." Henry cleared his throat.
"Oh, sorry." Ginny shuffled and fixed her facial expression. "So, shall we begin?" asked Ginny then.
"Don't want to have a casual chat first while waiting for the food to come?" Hendry suggested.
Ginny glanced at the watch wrapped around her wrist. The only luxury watch he owns at the moment.
"Have a casual chat first while waiting for the food to come?" Hendry suggested.
Ginny glanced at the watch wrapped around her wrist. The only luxury watch he owns at the moment.
"The sooner the better," said Ginny.
"Okay," Hendry said without a fight. "Sounds like it might really upset you, considering you really don't need anyone's help much less me,"
"Right." Ginny said emphatically. "I can judge a person very quickly, and I'm pretty sure you're being nice to me just because you want to take over the perfume company I've been building for a long time."
"Even though you know very well who I am?"
Ginny nodded her head firmly. Even though Hendry is the owner of a leading perfume company, with an office and a much larger range of relationships than himself.
"Yep."
Hendry chuckled at Ginny's persistence in defending her company. In all his life he had never met someone with strong principles and stubbornness who was also strong at the same time. It's a very interesting combination.
"I want to offer a collaboration collaboration between your perfume brand and mine," said Hendry later.
"Some kind of corporate collaboration?" Ginny frowned. Then her brain quickly thought. As if something was stabbed in her head, she suddenly remembered the fateful incident. The incident when the company was found guilty entirely, of the quality of the perfume dropping drastically, while the partner remained clean and did not want to interfere with what had happened.
"I know what you're thinking," said Hendry. "Thank you." Hendry glanced briefly at the waiter who had served the food he ordered before he spoke again to Ginny.
"How can you invite me to cooperate when you know that I'm in such a slump as a result of—well ..." Ginny felt her throat tighten. She couldn't continue her words.
"I can help you fix it if you want," said Hendry again.
"But the truth isn't as sweet as it sounds, Mr Cho." said Ginny.
Her brain was spinning again quickly when her heart forced her to accept and agree to the offer that Hendry offered. But again as like if someone was hitting her stomach hard, Ginny felt a deep queasy feeling when she remembered that she couldn't do this.
The cooperation that she might agree with Hendry would take a very long time. Such as the selection of the target market, the composition of the perfume they will collaborate with, the signing of the agreement, the legality that the new perfume that will be launched is very safe and far from harm and ... obviously it will not help Ginny with her urgent interests at this time.
Her company will be confiscated by the bank, even before the cooperation between herself and Hendry bears fruit.
"Are you thinking?" asked Hendry as he shoved a small piece of steak into his mouth.
"I still can't agree with it," Ginny said trying to calm herself down.
"I'm not asking you to agree tonight. You need to think about it very carefully," said Hendry. "Ah, yes. By the way you can just call me Hendry." Hendry spoke again before Ginny even opened her mouth to answer what she had said earlier.
"You can do that to me too. You can call me Ginny or Gin or Nini, whatever you want. Or maybe Ginny the bun head," said Ginny. Somehow she suddenly felt relaxed. It was as if Hendry was in control of a switch that could turn on and off the lights at will.
"Interesting." Hendry suddenly felt even more excited. He wanted to know more about Ginny. "How did that happen? I mean, Ginny the bunhead?" asked Hendry more excitedly.
"If you mean that name, um..." Ginny rolled her eyes before continuing. "... since I was little I have been into ballet."
"So you're a ballerina?" asked Hendry surprised. His eyes were perfectly round even though it didn't erase how charming he was.
"To be more precise, an ex-ballerina." Ginny corrected Hendry's question into a statement that was quite striking even for herself.
"I won't ask further, unless you're happy to tell me," said Hendry sympathetically.
Ginny sliced the steak in front of her and took her fifth bite before responding to Hendry.
"Perhaps, I don't think I can display something a ballerina must have."
For a moment Henry not spoke.
"Emotions. I'm bad at conveying emotions." Ginny spoke again and she found Henry smiling at her. A sympathetic, encouraging smile that Dave often showed him to cover up his infidelity.
"You can train him,"
"I don't think so," said Ginny. "Yeah, but..."
"EHEM."
A loud cough made Ginny stop talking. She turned in the direction where the voice came from.
