"Did you or did you not get out of Mr. Orion's car?"

Rosie quickly hushed Jenny and glanced around. The two were eating lunch inside the company cafeteria. Thankfully, no one was close by to hear Jenny's question.

Returning her gaze to her friend, she asked, "What kind of rumor is that? Where the heck did you hear that from?"

Jenny put her cheeseburger back on her plate and wiped her lips with a napkin before answering, "I heard it from someone in accounting who heard it from her cousin in IT who heard it from her team leader who heard it from sales."

Rosie frowned. "And did they say it was me?"

"They said it was a woman in a pink dress," Jenny whispered in a scandalized tone.

Rosie dropped her fork and threw her hands up in exasperation. "Then it's probably not me seeing I'm wearing a coral wrap dress," she announced.

Jenny gave it a thought. "Probably. A lot of people also didn't think it was you."

Despite herself, she found herself asking, "Why?"
