Lost Her

Morris hated saying Nolan's name out loud, and even looking at his face only worsened it. Adding to this terrible cake, he had to be around Leila most of the time, making his face known to him always.

Every single time he saw Leila, if Nolan was not around, the image was incomplete and it irritated his guts.

Hearing her say his name only makes matters even worse than it already is. He wanted to scream to make her stop. He wanted her to stop saying his name and most especially stop going around him.

Despite his discomfort with the whole matter, he cannot do that. Most especially to maintain the little dignity he had left in front of Leila, moreover, he was not in the right position to ask her to do so no matter how bad he wanted her to do it.

Morris stayed quiet, not giving a reply to what Leila said. Leila, after a minute of his silence, placed her mug down on the table with annoyance written all over her face due to her uninvited guest.
