"I have waited for this day, the day I get to meet you, my son." Trent kept staring at him, both their faces were expressionless.
"You're not even twenty- four hours old and you called me son." Trent put his hands in his pants pocket. His look-alike's phone buzzed. He read the message and chuckled.
"You must have scared your uncle for him to send me a message to help him." Trent raised a brow at him.
"Michael he's my brother, his soul was transferred to the body of the defective giant."
"I don't care about him or you, where is Ella?" his look-alike chuckled.
"You're meeting your father after many years and the question…"
"You are not my father." Trent cuts in.
Ephyrus laughed. "Poor Augustus, he raised my son for a hundred and how many years."
"I don't know what kind of drug you're on, just tell me where Ella is?"
Ephyrus clicked his tongue. "Call me father and I will tell you where she is," EPhyrus said.
"Or I could just rip your face off." Trent disapparated and apparated where Ephyrus stood earlier but he wasn't there anymore.
"Where did you think you got that power?" Ephyrus was sitting on the piles of stones. "From one of my mother's experiments. Trent disappeared again when he appeared. Ephyrus patted his shoulder from behind. "You got it from me, all you have to do is call me father and Ella is yours."
No matter what Trent did, he used spells, his reality-warping ability, and even his elemental ability it was all useless.
"Son, your father is an original, the devil cursed me with this ability. You're more powerful than me but you chose not to use your powers and when you want to you cannot use it the right way, go to your fake father, go and ask him about Ephyrus." Ephyrus became blurry until he completely disappeared from his sight. Trent punched the wall and the entire building crumbled on top of him, he jumped out of the rumble, and his body was covered in dirt and white sand.
He clenched his fist till his knuckles turned white but no matter how hard he hated and wanted to deny it, Ephyrus was right. He doesn't know how to use and control it the right way.
Trent got to the palace, he walked into his father's office. He met him drinking. "Isolde is heartbroken I advise you stay away from her." He drank the full glass of alcohol in one go.
"I don't care about that?" he saw how agitated Trent was. "What is the problem?"
"Who is Ephyrus?" Augustus' body stiffened.
"Where did you hear about him?"Trent had never seen this part of Augustus before, he looked scared and nervous. "I heard it from, he is Ariadna's baby." Augustus eyes danced in fear, "this is not good." Augustus stood up from his seat and started pacing about. "You panicking would not answer my question," Trent said.
"he is my master," Augustus replied. "I don't get it." Trent was shocked.
"I was once a human, an illegitimate child of the king, my brothers made the life of my mother, sister and I a living hell. Even though we had the protection of the king, they still found ways to trouble us. My father the king became sick, and I was scared of what would happen in the future, I thought of running away with them but if we were caught, we would be in serious trouble. I heard about a vampire living in a mansion outside the kingdom, people said he was dangerous and not to be stifled with but I went anyway. I went on my knees and begged and begged."
Augustus began to recall the night.
Ephyrus was sitting on a large chair, he could not see his face.
"if I turn you, what are you going to do with the power?" his devilish voice resounded through the empty spacious room.
"I want to use it to protect my family." Young Augustus replied the room was quiet for a while. "Leave." He said in a low scary voice. Augustus clamped his lips together, he could not leave, he would never get an opportunity like this. Ephyrus looked at the troubled young man with interest.
"I need power, to kill my enemies, before I kill them, I will let them watch how I kill their loved ones, then I will hang their heads, outside the palace for all to see, I will never give my old enemies and the one I will make in the future an easy death, I will make them so miserable that they will keep turning in their graves." Augustus gritted his teeth.
Ephyrus has a smug on his face. "I will turn you then, I just hope that you don't die on me." Augustus smiled happily as he bowed his head on the floor to show his gratitude.
He looked at Trent with Teary eyes, I did what I did and I don't regret it." Augustus breathed out a sigh of relief.
"he also said that he's my father." Trent broke the news to him. Augustus just laughed.
"It makes sense, when she told me she was pregnant I was surprised because I knew that I used protection when we..." "Can you please not talk about your sexual life with that witch!" Trent interrupted him. "Sorry."
"he asked me to call him father, he said if I did he would let her go."
"Please tell me you didn't." Augustus held his arm. Trent wiggled his arm from Augustus' hand. "I didn't. something tells me if I did Ella's life could be in danger." Trent sighed.
"That's great." Augustus slushed into his chair. "Why is that great?" Trent came to his side. "If you did as he said, he would have killed Ella by now." Trent's heart beat faster than usual. "Why would he do that?" Trent asked. "Your mother announced you to the world as the future ruler of the world. If you had done as he said then he would have killed you because he would have seen her as a big weakness for you." "If that's the case, he will still kill Ella." Trent was scared and worried for her.
"I need to learn how to use my powers to the fullest." Trent tapped his leg, he was truly worried about Ella. Augustus stood up and hugged him. "Do you still see me as your son?" Trent asked. "You will always be my son, always."
Cyrus shivered when a cold breeze hit him, he opened his eyes and saw Ariadna standing in a white silky gown, her hair flying in the wind. Ariadna looked like like a celestial angel that just descended from the sky. "Ariadna what are you doing here?" Cyrus's eyes were swollen. "when you were leaving, your grandpa called, I saw you crying and blaming yourself for the loss of our child, even though he wasn't yours, you cried that much for him. It touched me in the heart." Cyrus didn't know what to say.
When his father called and told him that his grandfather was back. He was trying to get home, it was already three o'clock in the morning. "Hello, Cyrus, where are you?" he heard his grandfather's voice. "I am in the palace." "Why are you in the palace?" "Ariadna lost the baby and it is my fault." Cyrus broke into tears, he held the pillar and fell on his knees. Ariadna came out of her room, to hand him his watch, when she saw him leaning close to the pilar crying. "If I stayed by her side if I wasn't such an insensitive bastard then the child." He went quiet for a while. "then our child will still be alive." Ariadna covered her mouth and cried too.
"I wanted to come to you at that time but I didn't want you to be uncomfortable. Cyrus, I like you, I know that you still love Ella." She bit her lips and looked down Cyrus stood up from the bed and rushed and stood in front of her. "I do still have feelings for her but it isn't that deep because I didn't even get to spend time with her like I did with you, I was a jerk who just hated losing to Trent." Cyrus was ashamed.
Ariadna held his hand, he looked down to stare at the soft warm hands rubbing his. "Cyrus, will you give us a chance?" Ariadna's face flushed red.
Cyrus smiled seductively. "I would love that." Cyrus came closer to her and held her waist. "can I kiss you?" Cyrus asked. "Yes, you may." Cyrus leaned in and kissed her soft cherry lips.
He sneaked his tongue into her mouth and deepened the kiss.
He frowned when he tasted hair in his mouth. But he kept kissing her with his eyes closed.
"I cannot believe you enjoy kissing a rat." Cyrus opened his eyes and it met the eyes of what truly seemed to be a rat, he screamed and fell on the ground, he watched Ariadna transform into a rat.
