Emmaline tried to struggle but his grip was way stronger than she expected.
The more she fought, the more her arm hurt.
His fingers dug into her flesh and his nails were uncut, scratching her skin and raising small welts across her forearm.
She was tired, but she tried a self defense move anyway.
Scrabbling at his pinky, she attempted to lift it off and yank his arm backwards.
But his grip was so tight that as she got ahold of his pinky finger, he shook her off and smacked her free hand away.
She tried to wrench herself away but he simply caught her other arm and clamped on to both her arms.
"What do you want?" Emmaline spat, wondering if she could distract him.
"You're so weak," He ignored her question, "How did you ever outrun me? Must've been a fluke."
"I outran you because you're a shitty runner and also, you have a horrible personality," She retorted angrily, trying to anger him.
