"If you don't stop looking at me,I might think you have a crush on me" She opened her eyes to meet the gaze of Jess who had her hands on the wheel.
"Young lady, you do realize I'm older than you right?"
"Are you older than my dad?" Diana asked with the lollipop in her mouth. As if answering her own question, she added..."Then forget it" She said as she threw her eyes away from her.
"I asked you for your name"
"Oh...and did you figure it out?"
"You're rude"
"And also stubborn so be careful"
"You did not get the home training you deserved"
"And you think you did?"
"Diana, you might want to watch your mouth!!!"
"Oh...you finally figured out my name?" Diana asked smiling one sidedly. If there was one thing she enjoyed, then if would be Her sassy self.
"How old are you?"
"If you don't stop talking, you might just get us into an accident" Everything would have just been perfect if she just kept quiet and said nothing.
They haven't spent two hours together but she already hated her annoying voice...
*****
"...it's nothing much, the news got to him...and he talked...blah blah blah blah blah..." Diana said as she sat on the sofa with a plate of sliced apples on her lap.
Diana and Callie talked on the phone and their call seemed to take alot of time as the both of them discussed what's been going on in their lives until a knock disrupted.
"Hold on...there's someone knocking"Diana told Callie over the phone as she stood up to go get the door. Holding the phone with one hand, she opened the door.
"Hi" She heard the person say.
"Callie,I will call you back" she ended the phone call and faced the person at the door.
"Who are you?"
"I'm..." And just as the he was about to introduce himself,She got a phone call. Taking the phone to her ear, she heard him say "Welcome him and do not be rude" and he ended the call.
"Come in" She told him rolling her eyes. As soon as he got in,she closed the door.
"What would you like? Orange juice or....."
"Just get me water"
"If you say so"
"So I guess you are my tutor" She told him. Looking at him,he didn't look old. She was expecting him to be late twenties or thirty but he looked twenty.
"Yeah..I was told that you are vulnerable at math.." She heard him say.
Diana didn't want to seem rude so she thought before answering him.
"I wouldn't use the term 'vulnerability'... I would say I don't like it" She answered him. He nodded his head at her response. "I will go get my materials". She told him before ascending the stairs.
'What is wrong with Xavier? I thought I told him him I don't need a tutor other than him?' She asked mentally.
Taking all that she needed, she went downstairs. They started off with her assignment and then moved on to touch the parts she didn't understand and just as Xavier had told her,he was really good. Even she was surprised how she didn't seem to have any problem with him.
It finally came for their session to come to and end and She saw him to the door. He was about to leave her porch when she remembered something.
"Hey!" Saying this made him stop right in his tracks. He turned to look at her with a questioning look.
"Yes?"
"I didn't catch your name"
"Michael"He answered.
"Well, see you around Micheal" she smiled at him as she called his name.
"You too Diana" he too flashed a smile at her before breaking his gaze and moving on to enter his car. As his car zoomed off,she too closed the door behind her.
