4 A lamb that can be perfectly turned to a pet

The more closely we walk to the ballroom, the louder the music got. The nearer we get, the more nervous I get.

Get a grip on yourself, Grys. If anyone should be nervous, it's the devil himself. You have no cause to be nervous.

"I'll be right back." Heading to one of the public restrooms we have in the palace *this was built for the visitors in the palace. * I walk into it and made you lock the door behind me.

"Nice outfit." A male that's casually leaning on the wall gives my clothes a once over.

Startled at the sound I wasn't expecting at all, I turn to face the male.

Calling him handsome is an understatement, the male is far from being handsome. He's more than handsome.

Dressed in all black clothing, he looks rugged. With his white hair carelessly made to look like that of a person who just tumbled out of bed, he gives out more of a bad boy vibe.

With my eyes trailing down his body, I can tell how packed the male is. He might currently be clothed, but I can tell how packed he is.

The man is a God incarnate. No person should be this handsome, it's not good for the female population.

And not so good for me since no female will want me, with him in existence.

"I can say the same to you." I give his black clothes a critical look. "Why are you dressed like a person going to a funeral?"

" I can say the same, you look more like a person going for a battle."

And that's undoubtedly where I am going.

" You came for the wedding, right?" I give him a look. Not only is he oddly dressed, but he doesn't look like he belongs to this Kingdom.

I've never seen a person with hair as white as his.

"What else did you think I came for?" Leaving the wall he's leaning on, he advances toward me.

"You…. You don't seem like a person who came for a wedding." Swallowing deeply, I take a step back.

"And what does a person who came for a wedding look like?" Smirking, he corners me to the wall. " Is there any special thing they have going for them?"

" No." Swallowing deeply, I try to look at anywhere but his chest.

Being average height as I am, I can only reach his chest.

Should I lean a bit closer to him, I'll only end up having a face-to-face contact with his sturdy-looking Chest.

"No?" He leans down a bit, so his face is at the same level as mine. "For a moment there, I thought there's something special that must be worn."

As he talked, his face kept on getting closer to mine until we were just a hair's breadth apart.

At his proximity, my heart started beating very fast. The organ is making as if it's trying to escape from the confines of my chest.

"What are you doing?" Swallowing deeply, I try to tamper with the stupid fast beating of my heart.

"What do you think I am doing?" He smirks.

"I…"

"You look like a lamb, one that can easily be made into the perfect pet." With his face just a little distance from mine. "Your cute face will look cuter writhing in ecstasy." He breathes.

With my eyes locked with his, I felt as if my soul momentarily went on a vacation.

Not only is his proximity currently affecting me, but his words are doing more than the closeness of his face.

The words he's saying, though strange, are making me feel funny?

"I…"

"Grys!" Someone knocks on the door, perfectly cutting the connection.

"And that's my cue." I dash out of the room before my heart can think of doing something stupid.

Out of the restroom, I hastily cover the door and lean on it. Taking a very deep, steady breath, I try to make my heart return to its normal beating.

" Are you alright?" The guard that's leading me to the war front *funny how I think my wedding is a war front* asked in concern.

"I've never been better." Taking a very deep breath, I look towards the door to the restroom before smiling at the guard. "Let's go."

Looking back to make sure the man is still in there and has not made an appearance, I allow the guard to lead me towards the war front.

I might still recall being here before, but there's no way I can be able to know the reallocation of the ballroom.

Growing up in a wing that's far from this place, I can't be proud to say I know of anywhere aside from my chambers, the garden outside my room, and my training ground.

*

Three guards are at the front of the door, and when they saw me, they all bowed lowly.

Dressed in light blue clothing, the males look more like those who came for a wedding, more than I who came for the wedding.

Compared to them, I don't look like I belong. I seem like I belong to a war front more than a wedding.

"Good morning, my prince." They bowed once more before rising. Giving my outfit a thorough look, they widen their eyes in surprise.

" Good morning." Smiling at them, I expertly pretend I didn't notice their gaze on me.

" The royal family awaits your presence." They open the great doors of the ballroom.

Is it me, or has the door gotten smaller?

Or will it be attributed to the fact, that I've gotten bigger?

I can still recall those years. One rebellious night led me to sneak out of my chambers late at night to dance in the ballroom.

The door then was enormous compared to how it is now. The door then intimidated me more than life itself.

Walking into the same place I danced to those nights ago, I can see the obvious changes to the place.

Compared to how empty it was those nights ago, this place is crowded with people.

Those who came to see the devil, more than they came to see their secluded prince getting married.
