Kai gave the group some pointers on how to improve their teamwork. He had played countless online games in his old life, so he knew the general composition that a team needed. Mina would be the main tank while old Lao and Ryu acted as damage dealers.

After a short break, the team continued towards the next cluster of [Slime-Vine] and repeated the process. As time went by, Ryu became better and better at tracking their movements and could now find their general location without Kai's help.

Another pleasant surprise was that Ryu and Old Lao had achieved [Mortal Grade-2] bodies. They each only needed 50 [Grade-1] beast essences to reach that level, so it wouldn't be too difficult. Mina was on her way to achieving a [Mortal Grade-4] body, seeing as she only needed 150 more [Grade-1] beast essences.
