The demon, Amon, in a rather human form appears inside Layla's head after the slumberness of the girl who he swears and needs to protect until the day she dies. No, the demon doesn't really protect her, he just protects her away from goodness and the angels above the skies that will do anything just to make things a little less complicated and dangerous. But the Devil and the demons like dangerous things and they haven't have normal emotions but they have emotions that made them even more terrifying.
The demon lets her sleep for a few hours so he can have his own free time but when the clock strikes 3 o'clock, he's always in time to wake the girl up and have her being hallucinated and bring her into the underworld for her to be cured in a somewhat horrifying way.
"Amon, why are you late today? The clock struck 3 in the morning but I couldn't see you anywhere." Layla asked while she looks up at the demon who is pretending to be an angel for the sake of all creatures. Layla doesn't know his true form and kind and she continues to be deceived by the demon.
The demon soullessly piercingly laughs but Layla isn't affected by it anymore because she's always with him. "You know, sweetie, how busy I am with my assigned duties." He lies through his sharp canines because he really has nothing to do to than be with the girl. "Forgive me for my tardiness, I'll never do it again."
The truth is, the demon is bored and he doesn't actually want to be with the human but that's what the devil has ordered him to do and if he disobeys his king, he knew he'll vanish into the thin air because he has no soul, as quickly as that.
The two of them walked through the heavily fogged streets and they couldn't see anything clear but they knew where they are going because they have been here every single night. The demon even also disguised the part of the hell that they're in to make it look like they are in the streets where Layla lives, to not give away the fact that they are actually in hell. The girl is completely oblivious because she trusted the demon who has been always by her side and inside her mind, watching and knowing her every move.
"You're still meeting with the old man? Why do you still do? Just say the word and I'll help you get through your human life." Amon doesn't like anyone that can cause a change in Layla's complicated life because he doesn't want her to be influenced by good people and change her ways of the mind. Things can even become more dangerous when someone tries to change Layla's mind, trust him, he knows what's going to emergee if that happens because it had happened before and it did not end well. Nothing ends well if someone does more complicated things and people can die.
"That old man is useless anyway. He's old and he's short in money because of his chosen career that doesn't obviously pay well." He continues while he watches as crow appears every now and then from above, his other fellow demons in disguise, carefully watching them and are thriving for the soul of the human beside him. He snarls at them, protecting his territory and keeping his title as the second in command in hell, next to the Devil because those demons have to learn their own place. They immediately flew away without wasting any second as their leader isn't pleased with them mingling with his business and duties.
Layla almost glares at him for insulting her kind guardian and history teacher who has done nothing but to provide for her, but she remembered that Amon knows her every move so she just lowly chuckles. "Mr. Arthur is my legal guardian and you're an angel so that mainly explains why I'm still meeting with him. You're an angel who can't be seen in the land and you're hardly in a human form, look at you." She gestures to him as a joke and the demon thankfully finds their conversation amusing.
"Sweetie, you don't need to insult me back. I can do better than this," He said while looking down at his awkward human form. "Just trust me, don't you trust me? Just say the word and I'll bring you lots of money."
Amon's form as a human is actually very awkward as it's obviously a disguise and his giant spear doesn't help his awkward form. Amon slowly changes into a more human-looking form, making him look like a tall handsome man in the same age as Layla.
Layla sighs. "You don't get it, Amon. I need family more than money. I can work my ass off for myself but I can't be my own parents or guardian. I want a guardian, who's human and not an angel in a human form."
Amon looks at her with a confused look, trying his best to understand what the girl is feeling. "Why do you want a family more than money? Aren't you people living off in that world by using money? You obviously need the money more than family, a family can leave you but money can't especially if it comes from me."
Layla just shakes her head, not bothering to explain to him what she means because he can never understand a mortal human being.
They finally stopped walking when they reached the electrified glowing water. Layla looks at Amon who nods at her in approval and he steps aside to let the girl in the water. Layla didn't take off her clothes as she steps into the water carefully while sighing in relaxation, feeling the water against her bare skin, healing her sickness slowly. The small snakes surround her and wrap themselves onto her skin while sucking out the illness out of her skin, curing the girl painfully while the girl winces even though she does this every night, her body isn't used to the pain.
The demon watches the girl as her noticeable peculiar skin slowly disappears and fades away without feeling sorry for Layla who continues wincing because of the pain that she's experiencing every single night.
The procedure continues for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes until all of the weirdness on her skin disappears. The demon helps the girl get out of the water due to the tiredness that she's feeling after all of that and with his 'angel' powers, he helped her get dried.
"Do I really have to do that for the rest of my life?" She asked, finally regaining her energy, even if she already knows his answer.
"Yes." The demon, mercilessly says while they walk slowly again.

"You're far from what I expected you to be." Alex says as they walk towards their classroom with heavy books in between their arms. Layla was asked by her Math teacher to get some books at the library and Alex volunteered to help her. Thankfully, he did though because when their teacher said some books, she didn't expect it to be a lot of books.
"What do you mean?" Layla asked him while Alex looks at her with amused eyes.
"I mean that you are nicer than I expected you to be because you're intelligent and teachers like you." He cleared while he smiles at her.
"Yeah, well, not all of us are rude and full of ourselves. I actually respect every single student because we're all the same plus I'm poorer than all of you." She laughs as she said that. "Oh and I also expected you to be an arrogant son of a bitch."
They both laughed and a teacher shushes them as they walk into the hallway, making them shut their mouths. "Do I look like an arrogant son of a bitch?"
Layla nods and grins. "Yeah, you mostly look like that. You look like a typical famous jock."
"But I am actually very sporty and although girls throw themselves at me, I ain't going to use that as an advantage or an excuse to be arrogant." He explains to her in a whisper while they walk back inside their classroom.
Layla quietly chuckles. "You sound like you're bragging that girls literally throw themselves to you."
Their classmates suddenly turn around when they saw them, walking in and they suddenly scream and jokingly teased them together but the two weren't even affected by it because they don't see each other like what they're thinking of them.
"Calm down kids. Leave them alone." Their math teacher told them, quieting them down like they're some wild animals. Alex and Layla laughed awkwardly and they head towards the front of put all the books down as they quiet down.
"Zoey, please distribute the books to your fellow classmates." Our teacher says while Layla and Alex head back to their assigned seats.
The rest of the class went by while their teacher gave us books and she oriented them about what they'll learn for the rest of the school year and she didn't give them anything to do other than helping each other if one of them is struggling in a lesson. After the class, their homeroom teacher once again helped them in deciding who to pick as the officers inside the room and they all cooperated with one other. Currently, they're picking on who's going to be the class president and they all expected that Zoey will be the only one elected until...
"I vote for Layla to be the next class president!" Liv suddenly says while standing up with her hand raised, grinning and nodding, like persuading her fellow classmates to agree.
"Yeah, me too." Alex says, also agreeing with her and Layla just frowns while she looks over at Zoey who is pouting.
"Aw, really," Zoey says while she looks at them with hurt in the eyes.
"No offense, Zoey, we're grateful to you for being our president for most of our school years but don't you think we need a change? Besides, we will vote for you as the student council president and surely a lot of people will do too." Liv told her while smiling apologetically to her. Zoey stops pouting and smiles while nodding.
"W-wait, that's not right. We don't need to change. I can't be the class president that's too much. Zoey's perfect for the class president." Layla says, reassuring them that they won't need to change the class president from Zoey to her because that position is too much for her and she doesn't want Zoey to be mad at her.
"No, it's okay. They're actually right, you know? You'll make a great class president and I'll also make a great student council president. That's a good change." Zoey told Layla with a soft smile while nodding to her and Layla shook her head but her classmates had already agreed.
"Well? Do you want to elect for another?" Their teachers ask them all.
"I think Kim will be the most decent class president next to Zoey so I'll vote for her." Layla says to her teacher while smiling at Kim who smiles back at her.
"Thank you, Layla but I'll have to disagree." Kim says to her. "I'll vote for you."
They all voted for Layla even Zoey and her friends. "Okay, then it's settled! Layla's your class president for the year 2020-2021! Layla comes here, give a speech." Her teacher announced and Layla groans, thinking about how doomed she is this school year because she'll no longer be quiet in a corner because she has bigger obligations now. She's grateful for her classmates that they think she's suited to be their class president but she feels guilty as she doesn't feel she'll be a great president because she doesn't even want to be one in the first place.
