I've never fancied the endless rooms and high ceilings of the castle because it was so lonely but it turns out to be the perfect hideaway.

"There should be food in the kitchens or the pantry if anyone is hungry." I tell them as soon as we step past the barrier, every great house has to have one because as Nadia had pointed out earlier, Fade wasn't exactly the best place to live in. "There's a lot of rooms, just pick anyone." I throw over my shoulder, hurrying up the magnificent stairs.

I need to get Cyril fed so he can get some rest.

"Master!" Listra the head Butler's daughter appears at the top of the stairs and everyone freezes in their steps, turning around. "I had no idea you would be making a visit, I should have prepared a feast." She bows, furiously. "And the servants have already retired for the night, all that's left is Papa and me…"
