Chapter 50. The Sixth Body_1

The two were holed up in a narrow storage room, next to a body that had yet to cool down – a scene they had never imagined before.

Suddenly, the walkie-talkie on the corpse buzzed to life, jolting both of them into harsh shudders.

The person on the other end of the radio was likely calling the dead man. If they didn't receive a response soon, they would assume something was wrong and start searching extensively.

They could not stay here. Ming Mei gestured to Ivana to move, and the two of them quietly slipped away.

But as soon as they stepped out, they stumbled upon two people searching the area.

Ming Mei quickly pulled Ivana into hiding.

She took out her gun, which was fitted with a silencer.

She had to kill both these men - she had to take out the second right after the first, without a moment's hesitation. Otherwise, the other man would expose their location.

She needed a clean shot; failure was not an option.

If they missed – they would certainly be killed.
