Kang Chen was momentarily stunned, but his clarity returned quickly.

He asked the doctor, "How is she?"

Dr. Stephen answered, "Young Madam's health has always been frail, she didn't seek medical attention after her previous accident where she fell into the water. The fever reducer we administered had no effect. If the fever continues, her situation will become extremely dangerous."

Without hesitating, Kang Chen said, "To the hospital."

He did not necessarily care about Ming Mei's life or death.

However, he, a man who had always been domineering and arrogant. Even though he despised Ming Mei and wanted to distance himself from her.

His pride would not allow him to get rid of Ming Mei in this way. He wanted her alive so he could divorce her fairly and squarely.

He wouldn't resort to such despicable methods to cause her death.

If he wanted Ming Mei dead, she would have already been a corpse two years ago.
