George said helplessly, "Can't you see I've quit the game?"
Nydia let out a snort of laughter. "How can I? You always have so many tricks up your sleeve."
She believed it was a miracle that she was still alive. If she hadn't lived in a law-based society, she would not doubt that George had gotten her killed.
George took a slight breath, seemingly suppressing his rage. Nydia saw it and sneered. "You don't have to do that. Whatever methods you use, I won't give the relic to you, let alone be together with you. So, stop wasting your breath and our time. It won't work."
Nydia was determined to not spare George a chance.
George, however, refrained from leaving. Gazing at her, he said quietly, "Hear me out first."
Nydia said nothing with a frown.
