Let's Rock

The waiting has finally ended, but before he ate the gyoza, he first dipped it into the customized gyoza sauce.

He picked up the gyoza and slowly inserted it into his mouth. The tension is killing him, but he also wanted to savor the aroma.

"Such bliss!" Gerard thought.

Gerard didn't waste any more of his time and shoved the gyoza into his mouth; he couldn't wait any longer or else he might just faint. The aroma was killing him, and he wanted to taste it.

Crunch.

It was the best day of his life; that's what Gerard had contemplated. The system's specific condiments bring this food to life. He was blessed by the God of Light today.

He not only received God's power but also God's food. He was eating a food similar to ambrosia. With every bite, his delight is killing him.

The texture was excellent, as was the juiciness. All of it blended perfectly in his mouth, and because of the condiment, he was feeling it a hundred times over. He was eating food given by the gods to the gods. It was that delicious. No number of words or any words brought up by humankind can describe it unless you have eaten it yourself.

He was full from that one piece of gyoza, and there were four more, but he wasn't as excited because he wouldn't be using the condiment this time. He planned to use it in every single dish, so repetition couldn't be done.

He was disappointed, but at least he could now tell if the food here was delicious because of how they cooked it or because of his powers.

He got one and chewed on it.

Surprisingly, it was good. It was nowhere compared to the first one, but still, if he says so himself, it was pretty delicious. After that, he went and ate the three remaining gyoza. It tasted the same.

Now was the time for the spring rolls.

As usual, he grabbed the condiment from below and sprinkled it on the spring rolls. Gerard also dipped it into its special sauce before putting it in his mouth.

Just as he had thought, he entered another realm of bliss. He imagined angels spoon-feeding him all the ingredients for the spring rolls in an orderly manner. He was able to distinguish the ingredients used in the spring rolls. It all rushed into his brain in a split second.

The taste was godly amazing; he could not say more because the flavor was so splendidly evolved.

After all that, he ate the remaining four spring rolls without the condiment. It was the same: delicious but not godly enough; even so, he'll take it. Those $200 were well spent.

He was already feeling full, and it was still not the main food for this afternoon. Like he cares! With the flavor bombs that are detonating in his mouth, he doesn't dare not to eat all of them.

This goes on for the rest of the food he had ordered, with all the food that comes after being tastier than the one before. It was unworldly if it was to be described by his tongue.

Gerard was now full and rested unto his chair, he felt that he could now die without any regrets.

It was until that thought had entered his mind that he remembered why he was here. The very reason that he was in this restaurant is that he was hungry, the hunger that was built up by a span of 1 year of malnourished eating.

The hunger that was brought up by betrayal and his ego. When he thought that he previously felt that he could die without regrets, he felt ashamed of himself.

Regret was not the main thing fueling him, it was the desire to uphold his ego. His ego was more important than his revenge, though he surely will not forget to do the latter; it was just not the ripe and right time.

Gerard went away with his contemplation and stood up; walking out of the restaurant.

It was now time to make use of his "almighty system of everything." He was supposed to only have a remaining 500 dollars left of the bonus money Bandit has given him.

Things don't go as planned since he had overestimated the price of "expensive stuff." Though it was not like the restaurant he had eaten from was not for rich people but it was not for the "ultra rich" people which had a truckload of money in their accounts.

"Soon, I'll reach them and they will not even know who they lost to," Gerard laughed to himself.

Gerard looked for a bank to deposit his 700 dollars, which he did very quickly. He was quite lucky that there weren't many people waiting in line.

1:00 p.m.

Gerard went back to the gaming shop, there were fewer players and users, probably because they might still having lunch and had not come back yet.

He sat down on his chair and booted up his PC.

Seeing that no customer will be coming any time soon, he clicked the icon for the general stock market. This was the most authentic stock market licensed by the world government. This was also the site the top stock trading company is found.

Gerard already decide on what company he wanted to demolish with his max level, [Knowledge of the Stock Market].

He had picked the Smith Co.; The main reason was not that he argued with Jerome but because he wanted to have a foothold in the entertainment market, even though he still hasn't any skill related to it. For him, it was just a matter of time before that skill appear in his mind.

He will not lie, but his argument with Jerome sparked his desire even further. It was necessary to curb Jerome's spoiled thinking.

"I can't wait, Let's Rock!" exclaimed excitedly.

The customer looked at him with his shout, Gerard slowly hides away from the public eye; seeing that Gerard didn't to be embarrassed any further, the users minded their businesses

After fixing and setting up things here and there, Gerard also deposited his money on the platform to prepare.

It was finally time, it was just a few hours after he gained the "system" but he felt that he had waited for an entire century.

Gerard started his assault on the company; albeit slowly, it was a fact that the stock of the Smith Co. was decreasing ever so slightly, the latter in the dark on what is about to happen.

At the Smith Co. 12:30

A man in a suit was sitting facing the window pane, behind him was his son, Jerome, and his assistant.

This was Vince Smith, the first and current CEO of Smith Co.

Jerome had just arrived earlier together with the woman he was together with, but before Jerome could offer words of complaint, she had already started her piece.

"We didn't get the deal, sir," The lady said solemnly.

"I understand, Crystal. Even I was not expecting it to truly transpire. Bandit's background is not something we could touch now." The man in the suit uttered dejectedly.

"I said NOW that is," The man changed his tone into a more serious one, with an aura as fierce as a ferocious tiger.

"Father, why cooperate with that lazy bum? Look at the state of his computer shop. It is more of an antique rather than a promising enterprise." Jerome questioned, leaving the details of the grand lineup of computers at Bandit's arsenal.

"It's not time for you to know yet, this goes beyond the affairs of this city."

Jerome pondered, "Beyond the affairs of this city, is that person that influential? I refused to believe it."

Jerome also had a thought of making his father fire Gerard but seeing his father being cautious against Bandit, he refrained from doing so to not incur his wrath.

Jerome left the room, and Crystal and Vince were the only ones left. Crystal was tidying up things while Vince continued to stare at the horizon.

After half an hour has passed, somebody burst open the door.

This person must have run and did not use the elevator considering the amount of sweat built up and also their exhausted face.

The building that the Smith Co. stands in is about 25 floors in total. This was the top floor excluding the rooftop so it really was a hassle to run from floor one up until here.

"What are you doing?" Vince questioned with a raised eyebrow. Crystal also looked at the person who busted into the room unannounced.

"There's big news, a bad one at that!" The person exclaimed.

"What? What the hell happened? Explain properly!" Vince was now curious and worried at the same time. By the look on the person's face, it was indeed a huge problem, but what is the problem that they are currently facing?

"Our Stocks!"
