Memories

"Where do you think you are going?" I stopped her in a fake serious tone when she reached the exit of embassy and she halted in her tracks.

"I thought you don't need me so I can go early" she snapped.

"Who said that?" I closed the gap between us.

"I always need you" I leaned onto her a little and whispered to her. She quickly stumbled back.

"What is this? You can say that while standing there." she alleged me and I chuckled in response.

"Hey I was just kidding. Come on, I want to talk to you" I signalled her to follow me inside.

"Hey I don't want to talk. I am going." she screamed but I ignored her.

"hey bhagwan, kitna jiddi ladka hai (oh god, what a stubborn guy)" she stomped my feet and followed me eventually.

"What is it?" She took a seat across me and frowned.

"I thought over your idea and I liked it. I have decided to give it a try but I need your help" I announced.

"That's good. What kind of help do you need?" she suddenly got interested in our discussion.

"I will talk to mom and if she will call at dad's office then you have to handle rest of the things. Okay?" She nodded in agreement. I hope her idea work and I could see a genuine smile on my mom's face.

"Doesn't she believe you?" she doubted.

"She does believe me but in case she call you to know about his schedule then"

"Okay, I got it. Now are you done? Can I leave?" She was desperate to leave for her home but I wanted her near me for some more time.

"No, teach me Hindi" I requested her. Although, I could interpret most of Hindi sentences (I don't know how) in my language but I could not speak her language.

"Why do you need to learn Hindi?" she rolled her eyes.

"So I can understand your conversations" I smirked. She paused and gave an evil smile. She was up to something.

"You can learn it from your father. He is very fluent in Hindi" She advised

"You know yourself how busy person he is and I don't want to give an additional burden to him" she thought for a while.

"Okay if you are insisting so much then I would help you. What is the first thing you want to learn?" she smirked and I got alarmed.

"Anything like how to ask how are you?" I suggested cautiously.

"Oh that is so easy" she waved her hand like it is nothing.

"Then how should I say it" I wanted to learn the correct pronunciation.

"Okay, just say main gadha hu (I am donkey)" I got her prank but I knew that if I would go along with it then she would laugh hysterically so I did that.

"My gada hoo" I repeated after her and she was on verge of laughing but hold herself.

"No its Mai Ga-da-ha hu" I repeated while trying hard to control my own laughter after seeing her struggle to keep her mouth shut

"Mai Ga-da-ha hu" I repeated again.

"Yeah that's right. Repeat it as much as you can, okay. I am going" she replied in a serious tone and ran to the door quickly. She burst out into a hearty laugh after exiting my room.
