The Heirloom
It was only 3 in the morning when Evan Livares woke up from his troubled sleep. Pushing himself up, he rubbed his eyes and wiped off the sweat that covered his forehead.
Those memories from the past that came to him in the form of a dream; he won't call it a nightmare but it was one bad dream.
The one week he spent with his biological father and those forgotten memories triggered by his reappearance in his life five years ago... it had been so long since it haunted him in his sleep. Maybe this was the effect of him talking about it the day before.
Sitting on his bed, Evan Livares was reminded of the struggles he went through when his biological father suddenly appeared in his life when he was just 13. Though he only stayed for a week with him, the aftermath was not easier at all.
If it wasn't for his adoptive parents, especially his mother, he was sure that he would lose his way. He would never grow up into the Evan Livares today.
